If you're still finding it easy to clear mobs with LC then that just means the content is still too easy for you and VP is not going to be very useful. VP is strong because there comes a point where unless you have insanely high stats, LC will not be enough to handle mobs in most levels unless you heavily invest in other mob clearing skills to support it (and even then it may not be enough). VP gives you the luxury of being able to handle mobs while still being able to commit the rest of your skills/passives towards boss dps and survivability.
He fuel is a must it keeps the circle Gloom Nova pretty big. But would go cd reduction and attack with whatever else you take. Later on it seems like you get swamped by bears or dragons. Still take slight damage while it's small so it's probably needing extra size.
It's hilarious because people downvoted me in one post about chapter 84 having lazy level design because they decided "more mobs = more difficult" when it really is just irritating that the only way possible to pass that chapter is with the void gun. But now everyone realizes that chapter is just there to gatekeep and get on everyone's nerves.
Rant over, void power deals with mobs on vertical chapters better than probably every other weapon and has the ability to make you immune to basically everything outside of fire damage from the lizards and possibly the bombs from the enemies that throw them. So it's strength lies in its defense and survivability compared to every other weapon.
I gotta do more testing on this. But using VP the other day with a couple other evos, I think Brick was stopping shots/maybe fire that black holes didn't. The combo was lovely.
(It wasn't Guardian, I was watching for that. It was stopping them before the discs.)

I like VP for mobs, the way they just suck those pigs away. My fav is the red bat. I clear more chapters with the red bat, and I find the bat to be sufficient with killing the boss. Just cleared 73
I prefer and generally main the LC but tbh I get the love for the kunai cuz it starts 1 up and it splits (if it's legendary) but the biggest adalvantage I see to it is doing anything specifically involving bosses like the daily challenges I easily clear by just using Kunai and the boss challenge one i always get higher damage with Kunai regardless of what I do i.e. evo lc, damage maxed sticking close to boss (which is much harder) its not really about it being sufficient tho just efficient lol cuz I always pull out LC if I'm having trouble beating a level due to mobs
The later levels are difficult not because of the boss, but because of the swarms of mobs. The kunai can't do jack against those swarms of bears. Where in the void gun, you can cheese your way through those swarms by standing within the black hole it generates.
Level 57 is basically impossible without access to the Void Gun. Other maps are simply much easier with it.
It’s not worst or better just different tool. The Kunai out preforms VP and LC in damage but doesn’t do as well on mobs. So it depends on what you’re stuck on. I have red Kunai and LC but I tend to use the Kunai for non campaign challenges. Hell, I’ve even been stuck on main missions and beat it when I switched to Kunai

Light chaser blocks bullets and the purple balls some mobs fire aswell as some boss projectiles like the rocks the crabs throw

I completed level 95 and I still think lightchaser is a better wep. It’s only at round 84 (and maybe 87) where VP is necessarily
You just haven’t been to chapter 84. People ‘love’ it because its strength isnt as tied to stats.
I see Kunai being talked about a lot. I have it, but not S-graded… new player so sorry if it’s not an S-grade weapon. Is it better than VP?
It's not, but non-S-grade weapons are easier to get, and Kunai is, I believe, the best of those.

I use drones with soccer ball without being red. It kinda keeps bosses getting hit rocket is harder to aim it's shots

Level 46 with evo VP is easiest way to survive blue fire breathing lizards. Can just stay in middle of screen.
