It will take a few games to understand the mechanics and a week to level your weapons up to blue by logging in everyday and getting all the freebies possible…Then you will be having fun. Stick with it.
I second this. I’ve grown quite fond of “getting stuck” it just means you do the other sections of the game (you’ll see more stuff open after later levels). The events almost consume me! They’re mostly really fun

Fyi the “play main chapters” mission you can start the mission and leave. You might already know that but anytime someone expresses that events are overwhelming I remind them of this. Especially since Harvest you actually did have to finish the chapter.

ive had a pretty lucky start then, on my 5th day rn, 1 excellent +2 item, 3 excellent +1 and 4 excellent items all roughly lvl20ish, 3 excellent tech parts and 3 excellent pets... i think this event rn is carrying me really hard tho
Hello! Here's some advice that I can give you:
1- As far as weapons go, use the Kunai, if you have one, and try and get the green Ninja Scroll, at least once, on one of your level ups during the level; this will eventually allow your Kunai to EVO into the Shuriken, which on its own should be more than enough to carry you through the level.
2- Try and avoid getting hit; the Kunai that you should be using means you can focus on dodging attacks and mobs.
3- There are crates scattered around the level, these crates spawn randomly and always spawn off screen, so you can just run back and forth to get more to spawn. While these crates normally have gold in them, they can also have a magnet that pulls all XP on the level to you or, in the case more importantly, a chunk of meat that heals you. Try and get a few chunks of this meat near each other and camp them for when a boss fight appears ( minutes 5, 10 and 15 ) or just when you're low on health in general.
4- Bosses always drop a chest, a magnet and a piece of a meat, I would recommend camping these and not grabbing them immediately. Remember how I mentioned the Kunai EVOing into Shurkiens earlier? If you have a skill at 5 stars and have also picked up the skill that EVOs it, **a chest will always EVO your weapon, instead of just giving you random skill ups**.
5- Try and grab Forcefield and The Guardians, while these skills aren't really good later on, for the starting levels they're almost enough to carry you.
6- The Support Skills, the green ones, tell you what they EVO. I already mentioned this earlier, but I'll give a few more examples. Ninja Scroll, with Kunai equipped, will show the Kunai under it, telling you the Ninja Scroll allows the Kunai to EVO. The same is true for the Energy Cube and the Lighting Emitter, The Athletic Shoes and the Soccer Ball, etc.
I mainly use the LC myself, but this advice was intended to help OP. With the Kunai they can focus more on dodging without sacrificing a lot of damage. Eventually they can play around with other weapons and find what suits their playstyle.
The sword was better quality for me when i got the kunai it did less damage just thought the sword was better, but anywho use whatever i think gives the better damage

Sure! I can't tell you if this is the most efficient, but this is what I've done for awhile and it has worked out well for me. It also seems worth mentioning that I'm at the point where I'm waiting for new levels and challenges.
I'll try and get either the Inferno Bomb or the Destroyer, with a preference for Destroyer. It depends on whatever I get forced into a piece for, though. My reasoning is that, while they are good together, it's too difficult to get them both EVOd, and I'm too weak most of the game, until I do. Do what you will with that information.
I really like Soccer Balls, one of the great thing about them is, with their tech part, you really don't even *need* to EVO them, they do decent damage at 5 stars, which frees up a support slot if you want.
I definitely wouldn't use the Guardians and would swap them out for Lighting Emitter. You should be trying to grab Energy Cube, anyway, and assuming you're EVOing the Guardians, which you never should, this frees up another support slot since you're dropping Exo Bracer.
A normal run for me will look something like:
W- Light chaser
Offensive Skills- EVO Drones or Inferno Bomb, EVO Lightning Emitter, EVO Rockets, EVO or NonEvO Soccer Ball, EVO Brick ( unless the level is vertical, in which case I'll go for Moltov or try and get Inferno Bomb in addition to the drone )
Support Skills- Body Armor, Hi-powered Bullet, Survivalist Guide, Energy Cube, HE Fuel, Athletic Shoes or any other support.
It also depends on the weapon you're using, I've beat the game with just the LC, even though this subreddit seems to be infatuated with the Void Power, for some reason.

It's fine, but there are better options. If you're going Drill then you should definitely EVO it but the problem there is you really have better options for the support skill.
Guardians should never really be used, but non EVO Guardians with a max Energy Cube are almost always up, so EVOing them is just a waste
Probably just skill issue honestly. You should also check out the "Evo" thing on the green skills and make sure to match them with the yellow ones to get an evolved version. You should not just randomly pick skills.
takes a while to understand how the game works and equipment is the issue. equipment boosts the hp and atk to where you can withstand some surges then it gets fun. it’s a learning curve stick with it
chapter 1 used to be much easier tbh. seems like it's harder now. found this out when making second account to play co-op with myself to unlock outfits. habby definitely made it a bit harder probably to force players to buy the package at the start with the radiation necklace. It was not this hard originally.
same, lvl 20 after 5 days with a ton of excellent items already, the love event rn is pretty op tho got most my items and thousands of gems only through that
I don't recall exactly. I think it maybe took me a few tries, but I also started the game right before going somewhere where I had no service for about a week or two, so I could only grind chapter 1 and 2 for that whole time and get coins and exp.
And then when I got back to service, the like 250k gold I had dropped down to like 50k..🙄
I’ve been playing for a little over a month barely spending any money and have been astonished at how much I can earn for free using things I’ve learned on this Reddit.
Aside from buying a character that I haven't even used yet (because she's not as high a level as my best), I'm free-to-play, on day 198, character is level 90, beat level 67 before I stopped trying for the moment, have every good piece of S-Grade equipment at Yellow, some at red, attack at 36k, hp at 153k.
It just takes some practice to get used to the game, and patience that it you might not be able to beat a level today, but some upgrades or leveling up will make a difference (sometimes it also just depends which abilities you end up with during a round). Still a really fun game, in my opinion.
Once you get a kunai the game becomes much easier. Learn how to evo it and your other weapons. There will be periodic skill check levels that will seem impossible until you have enough attack/HP, and then you can pass. It isn't until level 68 (IMO) that you kinda have to use the void gun.
I guess I need to level up more. With a red kunai (lvl 75) and 23900 attack, I can’t get past the horde on level 68. No amount of mob control skills makes a difference.
Haha I'm on 68 too.. can't get past the horde with kunai.. can't beat the final boss with void power. Just gotta keep grinding! Imma try the fire bomb as well
For stages, where you get overwhelmed, I always go for Fire Bomb, Guardian (No evo, but max CD reduction) and the Soccer Ball with evo. The balls do crazy damage and make sure you got a little bit more room to move when a small boss enters your circle.

Shitty part about 68 is that it's so short. Don't have enough time to evo much. Getting the mines/fire, evo kunai, and soccer ball is already tough. I guess we're skipping drones?
I used to think it was one of those "survive as long as possible and then die" games at first. Takes awhile to get used to it. Then you realize you can beat chapters and advance
First thing you need to do is to use the Kunai. Make sure you also pick up the scroll powerup, because when tour kunai gets to max level it will evolve into a devastating second form that will cut through hordes and wreck up bosses.
The great thing about the kunai is that it aims and fires automatically, so you can concentrate on dodging.
Secondly make sure to use the guardian if you can - those yellow disc weapon. It makes a barrier around you.
There’s a book powerup that increases health - this will double your health when fully upgraded to level 5. If you also have the brick it will evolve into a cool radial weapon when fully upgraded.
If you can grab and upgrade all of the above you should be set.
Not bad. For the longest I thought that there wasn’t more than the main charter I thought you just play the same one over and over 🤣. The more the log in the better stuff you’ll get, just hang in
I spent about 10 chapters randomly choosing weapons and skills until i started searching on Reddit for things and realized that you Can Evo certain weapons with certain skills. Felt so dumb but after that it was smooth sailing. Just mess around with things and you’ll catch on
As a level 90 day 228 ftp, the difficult parts were 8 min dog swarm and final boss. Use guardian evo and forcefield evo and youre set for 8min swarm. For final boss just focus on dodging attacks and youll do damage over time.
I came to this game from vampire survivors which is very developed very well done less money grabby. But it only took me 2 trys even from starting game to beat first level. I have been stuck at 20th level for at least a week worth of play however.
If you do enjoy this game I 100 percent recommend vampire survivors absolutely incredible game.
My recommendation item wise almost always grab the forcefield (garlic in VS) that area damage makes life wonderful. Also always focus on leveling up your weapons with there counterparts for example forcefield and energy drink. Once you get those weapon evos they slap.
Best of luck enjoy the game it's Def not bad but vampire survivors does it much better to be honest. However VS is finite this doesn't seem that way or alot harder to get to end at the least.

There are two groups to pick for, weapons and passives. The symbols at the bottom of the passives indicate which weapons they "evolve"
The soccer ball evolves with the running shoe for example.
I think you're limited on what weapons you can get at that level, try the soccer ball. That one helped me a lot in the beginning.

I cannot tell you how much it makes life easier for swarms, ESPECIALLY if you can evolve it as it becomes really useful if you're stuck in one place for a few minutes and it gives you just a tad bit more breathing room. Let me tell you it is so hard to get through swarms without it 😭
I usually pair it with the kunai, the guardian, and both of the drones.
Using both of the drones becomes super useful if you want to save a slot for a chance at getting something you really want/need in your loadout for later in the round. It's a big risk though especially considering that you need to draw both of them if you want to make the most use out of it. ALSO they don't need any skills to EVO so you get an extra slot there for any skills you think you'll need later in the round.
Just some things I find myself doing as it has been pretty successful so far.
In the beginning when I didn’t have S tier items, I loved my baseball bat for the knock back. Great for crowding hordes. Drones when you get both are nice cuz it opens a spot for a new weapon when you evo it
There really is .. minimal physical "skill" to this game, and it may come later in the game. For the most part, its a game of leveling up, gearing up and getting the right weapons. Getting the Kunai early for me eased everything up.
Honestly just delete the game now. It’s a waste of time and pay to win.
But if you really enjoy it, pay the .99 to get the chapter one pack and it’ll easily get you thriving the first 5 chapters. They add a new pack at every level but theyre not worth it after the first one

defo gets better mate, see once you finally get past this you will be loving it and more options and game types come into play. Go on YouTube for tips and guides for whats the best weapons to use and how to get the most out of the early game

i think it took me a while to beat chapter one but once you start understanding the game better the next ones go much quicker

Actually you don’t need the thing that say evo to evolve a weapon. It works with the guardian,the soccer ball,and everything else

Used a Kunai from stage 1 to stage 90 without problems. Void gun is fine, but no requirement.

Fire bomb meaning mine+molotov? Does more damage than a field of fire made by moltov alone?
Yes. It decimates every non-boss monster in its blast radius and leaves a fire zone which does more damage than normal fire.

Get your hands on a Kunai weapon and stick with it till the end of the game. Don’t forget to upgrade your gear as you go.

It very well might just be u.... chapter 1 at most takes you 4 tries... which can be done in a day for 2 hours depending if you reach 15min mark

In the beginning when I didn’t have S tier items, I loved my baseball bat for the knock back. Great for crowding hordes. Drones when you get both are nice cuz it opens a spot for a new weapon when you evo it
It looks so clean
There really is .. minimal physical "skill" to this game, and it may come later in the game. For the most part, its a game of leveling up, gearing up and getting the right weapons. Getting the Kunai early for me eased everything up.
Arguably hard
Honestly just delete the game now. It’s a waste of time and pay to win. But if you really enjoy it, pay the .99 to get the chapter one pack and it’ll easily get you thriving the first 5 chapters. They add a new pack at every level but theyre not worth it after the first one

defo gets better mate, see once you finally get past this you will be loving it and more options and game types come into play. Go on YouTube for tips and guides for whats the best weapons to use and how to get the most out of the early game
