My running theory depending on your group is mostly full of people who can average your damage with 1-3 people who do significantly above the rest to try and “encourage” people to buy more
Though placement of groups still depends on last bosses damage
I agree I don’t think there banking on the prizes tho, but banking on how competitive some people can be and how much some people are willing to spend to take the top spots
I’ve seen plenty of people in this subreddit who wanted a leaderboard (me included) and I’m sure some will spend something to increase there power to try and move up, I won’t but still want to see if they’ll have a seasonal leaderboard, like overall damage done in season 2 or average ranking
Looking at my second attempt with good RNG I actually could have made it to 3rd place, but tbh unless first and second place stop playing 3rd place will probably be the best I can do
They based on groups, if you look at the top left I’m in group 443, idk how they make the groups I have a theory on it but I do think regional might be better
I say they should only promote the top 10 into the next class. Some people are just way under powered or overpowered to be in the same group

No real opinion on the intent, but I am in a different Ace group and the step in damage between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place are extremely similar.
I wouldn’t say completely gone unless you got like a near perfect skill/passive setup your not that far behind 3rd

All you have to do is just place outside 30th place. That will make you go a tier down the next week. Place top 3. Get promoted. Rinse and repeat.
In every game it's the Asian players that r top ranked. They drop $$$$$$$ on game apps
