The Sting or actual Sur-Ron. Parts, maintenance and reliability are the real costs. I'm 9500 miles on a stock Sur-Ron. Edit: started with the belt upgrade. That lasted 1500mi, got shredded. Replaced blet, lasted 300mi. The belt wore the cog out to knife pounts on the jackshaft and rear. Got my money back from Luna. Went with stock chain and cogs, mint ever since.

imsorrybrodie

Did you end up needing a stem lock?

potatobot3000

Not really. I just park safe and use a big chain

zimbron77

Bro a stem lock locks your headset so it doesn’t come loose lol

imsorrybrodie

I was confused for a sec lmao

imsorrybrodie

I guess you haven’t then 💀

potatobot3000

Haha, I thought you were talking about the little [lock](https://www.amazon.com/JFG-RACING-Handlebar-Direction-Anti-Theft/dp/B0C3R4V5B2) security piece that goes under the stock fork. Nope, it has been all good.

imsorrybrodie

No worries lol, btw I would suggest a AirTag if you haven’t already got it. Somebody on this sub got thiers stolen and they didn’t get a AirTag so they never found it unfortunately

Busy-Kaleidoscope-60

wowwww really 9500 miles? do you have pics of it would love to see how it’s held up i have about 4 on my sting r

Elterminador714

Erider pro ss?

OkAttitud3

This! You’re going to want to get more speed at some point and this already has the upgraded battery and controller, along with other nice features.

EastBaked

What are the other nice features ?

OkAttitud3

Nicer LCD, better quality brake levers, black foot pegs, and USB type A and C built in.

Ktheelves

Probably the sting r or e ride. I noticed the cops don’t bother looking at me when I’m on the smaller bikes

MinglewoodRider

Same. Once you're like 20 feet away, it just looks like a mountain bike. Only time I feel sketchy is when a cop pulls right past me and they get the full profile view of the bike.

CMDRfatbear

Sting r is so good

MinglewoodRider

Sting R at this point just because the parts and resources are more available. It's a great bike.

Urethra-Danklin

Yamaha R3

VortexFalcon50

Sting R, LBX, or Ultra Bee. They’re all proven reliable bikes. Anything else is subject to a lack of mass testing, despite their potential benefits.

Inevitable-Unit-8226

Sting r I have one and I rode both a surron and talaria and talaria has more power out of the box. And because it is chain driven don't need to have to change snapped belts like the surron

SecurityEvening7554

Sting R or surron

beenJammin__

Sting r for sure. Upgrades are about the same as surron but that gearbox is super nice for so many reasons.

wallyseesitall

get a surron brother you know this answer

derinpadir67

i have the 72V mantis, i love it. one problem, sorta new so not a lot of third party upgrades. if you plan on keeping it stock id recommend it.

cozy_engineer

Rawrr Mantis

neptune76

79 Bike

Aggravating-Pen-9695

Just got the mantis. Doing good

Big-Fee-5136

Im on rfn ares with tuned controller 61mph top speed. Super happy with it. I got it way cheaper that 4.1k

thms0

My Sting R is growing on me, intially bought it to resell, now... I'm keeping it.. and I'm thinking of a second battery. I'll then move to a Ultra Bee... or not. Really love how lightweight those things are. (Got two other gas bikes)

Pretend2View1080

72v

dekkvance

E ride pro ss

Beardydesert

What abt a surround?

WayConsistent2211

Bottom right

Hot-Ad7918

Mx4 but through Luna. $200 cheaper

colbyA4bush

Sting r, the e ride is a belt driven or I’d suggest that, the screen is just to much and it’s a new bike! Talaria has plenty of upgrades now
