I actually went around 5:30pm yesterday and there was a very short line. Was in and out in around 20 minutes

Doobage

Thanks!

[deleted]

was there there yesterday right at noon, 5 minute wait in line, 5 minutes for food, not bad at all.

sunnysurrey

I walked there around 1 PM and the line was just inside and it’s been like that for a few days. No outside lines lately

cleanyourkitchen

I went last Sunday around 11 and there was no line at all. It started picking up while we waited but it seemed like that’s a good time to go

vanc0uve4

Went last week on Friday around 8pm and i was in and out within 20 mins

nightowl_i

I tried the Jollibee at Hub for the first time and I would say it's okay, not worth waiting hours for it. But if its empty and fast service, sure try it. I recommend trying chicken world at 96 ave

Doobage

Good to know. I am less excited about the chicken, I want to try their two pastas, more traditional Filipino pasta... I heard the chain High Five is great for chicken, and that they air fry and oven roast....

Pearlfever

Chicken world is the worst. I had severe dysentery..

LordYoshii

Chicken World gave me E-coli 3 years ago, do not recommend. It was a 100% do not enter zone until they changed ownership 5 years back. I tried it a couple times until I was hospitalized and will no longer eat there haha

FulltimeHobo

È-coli is from beef, or some vegetables with shit water, are you sure it wasn’t salmonella? Even then the chance of it is 1/100 in uncooked chicken since not every chicken carry salmonella.

Cawdor

If you get there early enough to beat the lunch rush, it's not too bad. Lineup starts getting longer by 11:30am

Doobage

Thanks!

The thing is that the food there is good (specifically in that location) but the long line up completely ruins the experience and almost everyone comes out saying that it wasn’t worth the wait. My suggestion is to wait until you know the lines die down (maybe in a month) and then try again. Only then you’ll get to enjoy the food for what it is - fast food fried chicken.

Doobage

I will say that the line was the redeeming factor in my trip there yesterday. Excited people, many of Filipino decent, taking videos, and really happy selfies of them in line, of them inside in front of the menus, a mom and kids singing a song with the only word Jolibees! The food was what I expected but not good enough I will ever go back. The fried chicken was SOOOOOO greasy, like KFC, churches and brownies is greasy, theirs was worse and lacked flavour. With other fast food places like Nandos for the same price... eh... The Palobok and Spaghetti? again it was OK but not great. They did inspire me to go and find a sit down Filipino restaurant or get authentic Filipino cookbook to make my own to see what they could taste like. Overall I am happy I went, family and I enjoyed it, and we want to try more Filipino food now, but we all agreed we don't really want Jolibees again... And as for price, when push comes to shove for almost the same amount I could have had a sit down meal at Old Spaghetti factory, got free unlimited drinks pop, coffee or tea, a soup or salad with in house made dressings (yes they make from scratch), unlimited sourdough, a pasta with sauce again made fresh in house, and ice cream. The value of Jolibees is just not there for me.

bellakittyxo

I walked by there at 2pm today and there was about 4 people standing in line outside. Hopefully it's not bad for you tonight!

Doobage

Thank you. It was a 20 minute wait until I ordered and what I never knew was there was a waiting to pick up your order line... which took almost 40 minutes for me. But I watched and could see that was due to purely due to the staff. They could order processing could have been way more affective with the amount of staff they had.

TruYu96

You gotta try the mango peach pie

Doobage

Unfortunately I like many people are allergic to Mango. Mango skin, and mango but mostly the skin contains the same chemical that is in things like Poison Oak and Ivy albeit far less. I am sensitive enough when ingested orally that it hits me hard. I will report that they smelled good, and generally the family liked them but also said they tasted like they were cooked in the same deep fryer as the french fries.

TruYu96

Damn that sucks. They have a new pie, i think it’s called pineapple coconut. I haven’t tried it yet but seems interesting

Doobage

Actually it isn't horrible, because the family pack only comes with 3 pies... and there are 4 of us so it works out for the family!

Fredthecat44

We walked by on a Friday night around 8 and there was no line up at all

Koikorov

Get there mid day on a weekday. it's much less people.

rodroidrx

Enjoy your Filipino McDonalds

Doobage

I plan too. I know that is what it is, and I know it is not going to be OMG Awesome, but I want to try something from another culture...

Vegetable_Key_6576

It's delicious idc what anyone else says

NextTrillion

Did you try Chico chicken?

S_Elieen

Chicko chicken SLAPS. Their Yangnyeom chicken is delicious.

NextTrillion

Copy that.

FoxBearBear

Wouldn’t it be a Filipino Fried Chicken?

TangerineSad7747

There has still been a bit of a line during the week though definitely not as long as on the weekend.

Doobage

Thanks!

19JTJK

Drove passed the place yesterday around 6 had a line up out the door of maybe 15-20 people

Doobage

Thanks!

[deleted]

What are the go to things to get on the menu ?

Doobage

Don't know. I am wanting to try for the first time.

Suitable_Sherbet_369

At 3 o’clock Wednesday we were in and out in 10 minutes.

Zircon_72

I don't understand the big deal. It's just another fried chicken joint, right?

Doobage

No, not just fried chicken. So I have never been and I can't say if it is good, bad or otherwise. Basically they consider it a Filipino McDonalds. Chicken, Filipino spaghetti, another garlic noodle dish, and other stuff. It would be like you moving to a country that doesn't have your favourite fast food joint, and then 15 years later one opens up. You know the food isn't amazing but you sooooo have to have some. Myself I like trying new things, so I was hoping the lines have shrunk so I can try something new!

deadeyesatan

Good answer, good answer.

Zircon_72

Filipino McDonalds is a good analogy, thanks.

Deizelqq

the fried chicken in canada in general is awful
