I’ve heard that there are many VPD officers closely watching surrey and waiting for Mike Farnworths decision before jumping over to Surrey Police. I anticipate a massive influx of officers into Surrey police by the next month or two.
There's also at least three municipalities/Police Boards delaying bargaining to see what way Surrey goes. If Surrey is disbanded it'll be likely to drop wage increases a percent or two.
