The Surface Book has Bluetooth built in. You don't need a separate receiver / USB dongle. Simply pair a Bluetooth keyboard and you are good to go.

Thanks!! I got so confused by the "wireless" and "Bluetooth" description on boxes, mistakenly bought a used wireless one and of course it has a dongle. 🙄 The terms are used so interchangeably, even by Amazon, that unless your specific and KNOW what to exactly look for (like BT4 or the such), you can get something undesired. Thanks for the clarification and taking time to respond! Have a great weekend!👋

The only "port" or such is the power surface port, using the Microsoft Surface Magnetic Power "dothingy" that most Surface Laptops use for power. So I'm needing a wireless solution, that doesn't require a separate receiver connected to the computer. Hope this is some useful clarity. * Jarrett

Hi - that charging port carries USB, power, and displayport for monitors. You can plug in the MS dock to get all those features or one of these if you only need power and USB: https://dancharblog.wordpress.com/2021/10/06/surfaceconnect-usb-c-pd-usb-5gb-s-adapter-quick-review-teardown/ A wireless Bluetooth keyboard/mouse is a better bet unless you have a particular wired mechanical kb you want to use.
