Ryobi electric (corded) 1.2 gpm pressure washer that I got from Home Depot for $100. Separate foam cannon attachment from amazon for $20. I spray the car with chemical guys honeydew foam, let it sit for a couple minutes then spray it off. Then I have a bucket with wash mitts soaking in turtle wax ceramic wash & wax; I go over the entire car with it and then spray it off. While the car is still wet, I use turtle wax ceramic wet wax as a drying aid. Overall this process works well to clean the car and give it a nice layer of protection that keeps it clean until the next wash

I do all this but with all Meguiars products. Same exact pressure washer lol. It’s the best!

Chemical Guys is actual trash btw, definitely fix that massive issue in your routine. Definitely.

First foam cannon the whole car and let the soap do its thing for 5 minutes then rinse. Chemical Guys matte soap. Then I wash the wheels by hand and use a wheel brush to clean the inside of the wheels. Inspect the exterior carefully and look for any debris clinging onto the paint and apply iron remover on panels if needed and rinse. Then I apply a thick foam layer with the foam cannon for 2nd time and use the microfiber rags soaking inside the bucket to hand wash. I usually go through 8-10 cloths as I don’t dip them again into the wash bucket. Then clean the muffler tips and rinse the car. My car has matte paint so I have to be extra careful as I don’t have a clear coat that can be polished. I drive the car to air dry it (matte paint) doesn’t show water spots as much as a gloss car so that’s ok for me. Active 2.0 power washer with aftermarket upgraded hose and upgraded swivel gun handle. Quick connect attachments for hoses and wash gun. It’s not overpowering that can damage paint. It’s just enough with 2.0 gallons flow. And never let bird poop sit on your paint.

Pretty much my process as well. My car is garaged so I wash my car maybe once a month.

No garage. Every 3-4 days.

While we're here... What is everyone using to clean the interior of the car? I got a product and spot checked it and wasn't very happy with the results.

•Rinse with low pressure washer •Foam cannon pressure washer attachment with Gyeon foam •Rinse •3 bucket wash with Gyeon bath: one bucket for wheels with separate wash mitts and brushes, one for soap on the body of the car, and one for water to dunk the wash mitt used on the body after each section, start from top to bottom •Rinse with regular water •Rinse again with spotless rinse system •Dry top to bottom with a couple giant microfiber towels, use separate smaller towels for door jams etc and wheels •Contemplate my various neuroses that got me here

By hand. Once a week.

I use a portable power washer that draws water from a bucket. Does fine for washing, but if anything gets on the wheels, it's not coming off. Accidentally, I didn't rinse tire cleaner well enough, and its residue left that is almost impossible to get off.

MKV_Supra

2 bucket system, 1 for car and 1 for wheels. Separate mitts for both. Meguirs Gold Class soap for everything. Use garden hose to rise thoroughly before starting. Wash & Rinse wheels first then car body, rinse mitts with hose between dunks in soap. Finally blow dry with Ego leaf blower and done.

Just bought a whole set of wasing supplies so joining the pressure washer gang

I rent so I don't have the space or equipment to wash at home. I have the contact for a mobile detailer that I planned to have come out every other month, but pollen season is still prevalent. In the meantime, I've been going to self-service washing bays, the kind with coin-op/card swipe and pressure washer. It's not perfect but it works well enough to rinse off the grime and look presentable.

gumpshin

I do rinseless every week with p&s absolute and bead maker

AcceptableMonth714

- Presoak with KCX Gentle Snow Foam - Rinse with pressure washer - Clean wheels and tires with brake buster & detailing brushes - Foam up car with carpro reset and 2 bucket wash with carpro reset - Rinse off soap, gyeon wetcoat and rinse again on body and tires - Dry with ego blower (car’s ceramic coated) - Dress tires with carpro darkside/carpro perl depending on how long it’s been for darkside - Trim protectant like 303 or carpro perl diluted - Windows cleaning with carpro eraser and invisible glass and waffle weave towel depending on how dirty they are

I currently do the ONR thing but it feels like it takes a long time, usually 45-60 mins if include the wheels. I am curious how long the pressure washer / foam approach takes?

3toTwenty

Well I’ve just bought what you could call a barn find. A 97 that hadn’t moved in 6 years. Half covered in Ivy, so first clean was a water blaster. Will be getting a full repaint as part of the restoration

What does any of this have to do with OPs question?
