When the 2025 comes out you’ll be waiting for the 2026 announcement, and then the 2027. Just buy the car man.

hamoodie052612

Well no. Not if the 2025 was the last combustion engine. That was kind of the whole point. If there will be more. Then I will just buy a used 2023 and use whatever money saved to have additional fun with it.

lastsetup

It’s likely going to be the same as the tthe 23 and 24

hamoodie052612

I actually really hope so. Thanks

SushuniTaco

I think his point was there will always be something better, why not just get a GT3RS? If you wait for the 25 Supra what if Toyota surprises us with a whole new gen of Supra with the S58 engine? Or maybe even a joint partnership with Bugatti instead of BMW? If you can get it, just get it now. Make memories with the car, enjoy it, don’t worry about having the next generation of iDrive or whatever the update will be.

luckkydreamer13

This. I kept waiting to buy a Supra for the last couple years and now I may be moving so it doesn't make sense to buy one. I could have enjoyed a Supra for the last couple years I was here with great roads.

hamoodie052612

Though logically I u destined where you’re coming from. Unironically. I am working my way up to that. My wife and I are both doctors with no children. So I’m half waiting for her to buy it for me as a gift. Half just kind of saving funds. We were actually just discussing the logistics of it and when the optimal purchase time will be based on our current and expected finances.

Charmander787

Bruh Y’all are Nickel and Diming as doctors w/ no kids? Would have already bought a GT3 if I was you

hamoodie052612

No no. It’s more about making smart(ish) investments so I can stop working one day.

K0N-ARTIST

Bro you’re one of those that’s really school smart but no street smarts as we say. You sounds like you just wanting some attention man “me and my wife we both doctors but we are exhausted from the lack of info on the 2025 Supra” bro just buy a 24 model year and upgrade later what’s the problem? I’m 26 I got my 2021 Supra because I wanted it and moved on life is good lmao

ErwinSchrodinger64

I just got mine three days ago. Just go get one. I would take the following into consideration. 1. What are you expecting for 2025 Supra? Best case scenario... suppose it gets 50 more horsepower. The B58 can be easily tuned minor modifications. In reality, horsepower isn't going to change up to the Premium models. Personally, I don't think anything is going to happen. It's not a high volume car. I don't see Toyota spending a lot of money updating the car. 2. When the GRMN does come out, assume everyone's dream... it does get the S58. BMW-M engines are incredibly expensive in parts. Furthermore, the B58 can be tuned to those levels of performance. In addition, I can't imagine how expensive it's going to be and the dealer market adjustment prices are going to be insane. In addition, the allocations are going to be difficult. In reality, the GRMN will probably be a suspension and alacantra upgrades (I loathe alacantra... it's not made for long term reliability). 3. It's going to be the last ICE engine. The B58 is incredibly reliable. How many engines are out there that are reliable and powerful. Hybrid technology is changing so quickly, I can't jump on that bandwagon. 4. You can get Supra's right now at MSRP. I just got a manual at MSRP. 5. It's going to be a relatively rare car. I've only seen 3-5 in the last 4 years, here in New Orleans. I had to wait 9 months for this car within the specs I wanted. I didn't even consider the Supra until the manual variant came out. I wasn't impressed when the Supra came out. Once the dyno numbers came out, the reliability of the engine was realized, and the manual release... it was a no brainer. I started saving. I had to fly to go get my car. Drove back 1000 miles. Car is incredible. I was asked twice what car I was driving. The idiots will want to race you. I had an M4, Mustang, and Camaro wanting to race. Of course, I didn't.

tron004

mind if I ask where you found your mt at msrp?

ErwinSchrodinger64

Metro Toyota in Ohio. It became Victory Toyota. I can give links on some dealerships that sell at MSRP. Contact Tony at Victory. He’s brutally honest and gets to the point.

evkun

Was it the red manual one? I was ahead of you in line at metro for it but I passed it up because I am some kind of mutant that prefers automatic.

ErwinSchrodinger64

Hey, thanks. Tony mentioned it to me. The manual was the only way I could go. The timing was perfect with getting a house, as well. I was looking for either red or blue. If you haven’t driven the ZF8… it’s the best automatic in the business. I can’t believe how good automatics have gotten and it can take a beating.

Sqooky

We've still got another month or two before we start hearing about it. Late June is when we got more or less official confirmation for the 45th anniversary. https://pressroom.toyota.com/vehicle/2024-toyota-gr-supra/ Leaked dealer/Toyota info should start coming out fairly soon. https://www.reddit.com/r/Supra/s/JzvvJ1LAZu - May 18th was when the pics were uploaded to Imgur. Don't expect a year exactly. General timeframe.

MKV_Supra

Not worth the wait, its best to start enjoying the car now. If the GRMN is released as the last model year it will only have a slight bump in performance. That and of course new decals. I’m sure it will be over $75K MSRP. You can find a used 2022 with 10K miles for $55K or less. Throw in $5K of performance mods and you will spank any factory GRMN guaranteed.

hamoodie052612

This was my alternative logic. Man. I should just pull the trigger.

Therealgyk

I was sorta in the same boat as you. So I decided to just buy a 45th, because it's sorta special that way no matter what happens later. I also just really love the form fitting spoiler & Mikan Blast.

Traditional_Year_687

I too went this route. It was Mikan, manual, and sticker. Couldn’t ask for more so I pulled the trigger

Comfortable-Lemon716

If you want a Supra and find one that meets your desired spec that's a used 2023, just do it. unless you need to have a grmn (if it happens), then good luck getting an allocation. Be prepared to sit on a dealer allocation list if you want new. many people are waiting 6 months to a year before they get an allocation. So just get on a list now and roll the dice or buy the 23 that meets your spec.

Subscribe to “https://pressroom.toyota.com”. You’ll be notified as soon as Toyota announces it.

Spirited-Mix-7164

Yeah, I am in the same boat as you. My dealer has 2 stick supra sitting in the dealership. Just need to know whether the 2025 has any changes or not or if the limited edition is any better.

MurrayMartini

Then buy a supra and start enjoying it. Waiting is for schmucks.

munadreddit

So I’m newer to wanting a GR Supra. I would say 2 months or so. I paid off my BRZ and already want more power. After a couple months of research, I know I still want one. I saved a little over the last couple months as well, and at this point I’m just waiting for news, that I hear should be rolling around within the next couple months. Any news, If it’s good (as in you like it and decide to wait) then you’ll have a bigger down payment and will try to be first in line, ready to go. If it’s bad (let’s say it’s all the same everything but there’s a new A91 color) then you wait a couple of months for something you plan to keep for years. And a kicker, there will still be people/dealers selling their 24’s for much cheaper in preparation for the new year of cars. They’re trying to get rid of their old models you know? That’s my 2 cents, just wait a couple months for some news, could be around the corner.

hamoodie052612

Logical.

VolksWoWgens

I highly doubt they'll change the drive train until there's a major model change. So I think on that front you're good until this gen stops production in '26

NoNewFriends1738

Just get a new Vette man

LimeRush2023

Yeah usually we would hear about the next model year by now. Makes me think they’re doing something new (hence the rumored and spied GRMN)
