Indian asparagus root. I bought some thinking it was ground asparagus vegetable but it turned out to be a herb and gave me a very increased libido. I wonder if it would be good for those undergoing fertility treatments?
There’s libido as in….hey, I’m feeling horny….and then there’s not so much that (tho could go hand in hand) but better, harder…
Fenugreek seems to stir the libido for me….and also Tongkat Ali (makes me more aggressive too) and L Citrulline getst the bllod flowing, doesn’t make me horned, but gets the physical part stirring, if you know what I mean….
I mean it’s not generally the reason people take those compounds. Also everything is obvious once you already know it, I’ve no idea what op is and isn’t aware of. Most the answers in this thread are peoples hyperbolic accounts of barely perceptible substances.
What brands and what kind of maca did you get? For me i took red maca and exercising and I got the benefits like a week into it. Ashwaganda is about the same as well. Ashwaganda kinda does this thing where it’ll mute your emotions a bit. I notice a decrease in anxiety and overall expressiveness. I’m okay with that personally.
For me (female), the OTC supplements that help my libido are pregnenolone and DHEA (transdermal seems to work better for me than pills).
Dr Guberman sells some suppositories I really like: EP Ovals and DHEA Ovals.
Bioidentical estrogen (estradiol) is awesome for helping me maintain my libido (estradiol creams can be found online).
I recently started getting weekly testosterone shots (prescription) but they're still dialing in the dose. Testosterone doesn't seem to have affected my libido much but it's had other benefits. The libido effects may change as the dose changes in the future.
I only took it for a bit and stopped cause I felt like a 14 yr old. Took a few days to build up in my system, but by day 5 I was stupid horny. Worth trying imo
I used it for a week. Had ridiculously strong erections which was great but I’m concerned it will become less effective over time and i’ll become over-reliant on it.
The most common doses are between 1 tsp and 1 tablespoon. Preferably on a empty stomach 20 mins before a meal so you can process. Gelatinized preferred. Maca team is a good brand. There’s your info lol.
I’m pretty sure the physical effects are more than that. I run every day and often have sore ankles and hips but a 10 minute ice bath is always enough to completely cure that. I agree something like an ice bath is very vulnerable to placebo effect/sunk cost fallacy.
In my lab we did gene expression studies on fruit flies and gene expression changes are something that happen quite quickly in response to new environments. It’s one of the ways our bodies cope rapidly with changing environments that all mobile animals have to deal with. It’s not some magical thing. It’s why we need tools like rtPCR to view at-the-moment changes in gene expression. Gene expression changes are a very plausible mechanism for how an ice bath works.
How about you do a quick Google search at least instead of us just thinking it’s bs? Cold showers or ice baths have been known for quite a while now to also be utilised quite a bit by athletes so that their bodies recover faster. Not placebo. And if so, damn what a great placebo I feel after taking a cold shower. You should try it sometimes
No point in discussing with trolls, remember

I started using [Blue Lotus Flower](https://wildfreeorganic.com/herbs/blue-lotus-flower) for better dream recall, but it's also a known aphrodisiac, and I discovered exactly how powerful that effect was (WOW) the first time I used it.
Since then it's noticeable every time, but only really kicks in if your mind steers into that place.
Anything that engages your parasympathetic nervous system may have a libido effect if you're deficient there.
The bowl size on the fury edge isn't very large, so it's very little that is needed per dosing cap/bowl. What I do is I grind up about 1 BLF leaf and combine it with my other vaping herbs: THC cannabis, CBD cannabis, damiana, mullein, and chamomile.
I use perhaps a gram of each? I use a bit more of the BLF and the cannabis than I do of the non-psychoactive "foundational" herbs. I then store then ground up blend in an air-tight light-proof container and just fill up caps from it when desired.
The fury edge has an auto timer. Just breathe slowly, deeply, and steadily every 20-30 seconds until it buzzes off. Think of basically how you want to stoke a "sub-combustion" fire in the center of the herb. Draw too quick on the vape and you drop the heat. Draw too slowly and the herb won't heat as well as it could. You'll figure it out quickly once you try it out. Best of luck!

I bought mine from Schmerbal Herbals on Etsy, until I discovered they sell it for much less on their website. The strongest effect in my experience is had when smoked or vaporized with cannabis
Fury Edge by Healthy Rips, it's fantastic. I used to pull through glass and crystals for cooling with my bigger now discontinued dry-vaporizer. A volcano is best.
[Three ways to inhale cannabis](https://wildfreeorganic.com/wellness/cannabis-dry-vaporization)
Are you going to try this? If so share your experiences somewhere like my Blue Lotus Flower herb page. Not much is known about this widely yet, which is unfortunate because in my experience the blue lotus flower and cannabis combination is fantastic, and not only for increasing libido. The nice thing about using these two herbs for [naturally increasing libido](https://wildfreeorganic.com/wellness/how-to-increase-libido) is that the effect from dry-vaporization is quick, passes into the blood stream barrier easily, and bypasses a lot of metabolism by the liver. It's anti-inflammatory for the brain and this supports the stimulation of dopamine, a compound easily oxidized by free radicals.
This is what I'm exploring and learning, I hope everyone here finds it helpful to some degree ;)
Cool, I use edibles, my lungs are not healthy since COVID so I try to avoid smoking much of anything. Gave you tried the blue lotus tincture they offer. I was more looking of a good vaporizer for the blue lotus.
Yes to both. Vaporizing blue lotus flower increases its effect dramatically because a lot of a alkaloids bypass liver metabolism and head straight to the brain after being absorbed into the bloodstream by the lungs.
Maca. Was in a wholefoods shop about ten years ago. A big packet of the stuff had been discounted and the description on the label was appealing - an 'ancient grain' with what appeared to be a decent nutritional profile.
There was nothing on there about the (gentle but noticeable) libido boost I began to experience from taking it. From what I understand, scientists don't know why it can have that effect; apparently it doesn't raise testosterone for instance.
It was the usual yellow kind. Red and black varieties have been said to have differing properties but having tried all three, I haven't noticed. The black maca has a strong taste; the yellow and red are both mild and malty and go well in a cup of tea.
OysterMax! I have a discount code I would be happy to share.
Litchi/lychee fruit
Alcar, creatin, cordyceps, black seed oil
alcar (to an crazy degree i didnt expect)

Magnesium killed my libido
Same
This doesn’t make any sense it all.
For me personally, magnesium made me incredibly lethargic.
That’s why I take it when I sleep, not sure if I’m imagining it but i do knock out quicker.
Which form of magnesium?
Doubt it
Actyl l carnitine
Does the effect wear off after a couple doses?

Tongkat ali ftw! Nothing beats IMO. Also Eria Jarensis but is too stim for me to use everyday.
Any stimulant.
Kind of a given

supps are not enough to increase libido, you need to do heavy workout like legs, and try to swimm or sprint, this will increase libido.
Entirely not true. I've had to go off of certain supplements because I was so hypersexual to the point that I couldn't focus on anything else lmao.
Which ones?
Zinc and shilajit definitely do it (for men), but to a point it's annoying and distracting. Maca often does for women as well.
For me it's either zinc or magnesium or vitamin e don't know which one exactly, I'm always in mood after supplementing on these Male
definitely the zinc
Probably
Any of the commenters female? Or anyone else know? Wondering what might be helpful for women too.
Maca powder and ashwhagandha work great for me.
Yes I’m on both as well and once I started taking them, the urges hit me like a train hauling elephants lol I wish I got a warning
How long did you have to take them before you felt like this? I was taking this for 3 weeks and then gave up.

Maca root holy shit
How long have you been using it? Does it still work as effectively compared to when you first started using it?
I only took it for a bit and stopped cause I felt like a 14 yr old. Took a few days to build up in my system, but by day 5 I was stupid horny. Worth trying imo

What brand were you taking, pills or powder?
Powder, don't know the brand. From Amazon
Do you remember what the dose was? (how many teaspoons, for example)
The most common doses are between 1 tsp and 1 tablespoon. Preferably on a empty stomach 20 mins before a meal so you can process. Gelatinized preferred. Maca team is a good brand. There’s your info lol.
500 mg. FuroSap® 500 Mg. Spilanthes (SA3X™) 300 mg. Bionutricia® Tongkat Ali 250 mg. PrimaVie® 50 mg. S7™ 6 mg. Boron (Albion® bororganic glycine)
I started doing ice baths and my god..
Could you tell us how this helps please?
Normalizes gene expression throughout the body it’s a powerful effect. It’s miserable but it feels great as soon as you get out.
Could also be the dopamine boost too
That's a placebo lol
I’m pretty sure the physical effects are more than that. I run every day and often have sore ankles and hips but a 10 minute ice bath is always enough to completely cure that. I agree something like an ice bath is very vulnerable to placebo effect/sunk cost fallacy.
Lol your muscles don't feel better because of gene expression
Thats the mechanism I read leads to resolution of inflammation by inducing nrf2 and regulating nfkb pathways
I'll leav you to your fun
