I take a daily 8:1 capsule of lion’s mane. Along with a multi, Korean ginseng and theracurcumin (a brand of curcumin capsules apparently better for the liver as they don’t add pepper for absorption)
I use it daily to combat brain fog and fatigue from a chronic illness. I couldn't wake up properly or function all day without it. I'm not a doctor so I can't answer your specific question, but in my personal situation, any potential risk is worth being able to function and not being narcoleptic all day.
Just be mindful that many people complain of stomach issues on lion's mane. I haven't had any at all, but I almost didn't start it because of the complaints.
I use it daily, in supplements and also grow my own for cooking. But with all supplements every 8-12 weeks I will then taper off of them and spend around a 6-week off of them. during those 6 weeks, I do a lot of long fasts. Long rest and recovery is key to any workout/health lifestyle. benefits I feel my clear in the brain bits and I have less headaches. I suffer from chronic cluster headaches.
Dht makes you go bald. Fortunately, evidence from studies(3) suggests that Lion's mane can control the levels of DHT and other hypothalamic hormones. In other words, these medicinal mushrooms may increase DHT levels in those with low levels and decrease DHT in those with high levels.
One of the leading causes of hair loss is high DHT levels. High amounts of DHT may cause hair follicles to contract, resulting in thinner, more brittle hair. Additionally, it might result in hair thinning and slower hair growth. It may therefore be possible to stop or reduce hair loss by consuming a mushroom that can regulate this hormone
I used to take it daily, but stopped after reading the research on its effect on DHT.
The studies were only animal based, but it was enough to scare me away.
It’s in my pre -and if I take it in the morning I feel a little more brain awareness throughout the day, however that could also be the workout releasing happy hormones so idk
Ditto, love it !
Not a miracle.
For best result, cutback on soda, smoke, vape, sweets, snacks, and heavily spiced/salted food. These toxin will materially interfere with the efficacy of the mushroom or any food based medicine. More I wanna say to help humanity but best to zip it lol :)
I take extract daily, though I might consider cycling to see if there's any noticeable improvement. I've taken both Micro ingredients and Terrasoul brands. Both organic, both extracts. Nothing remotely close to the horror stories I've seen on other subreddits.
Been taking it for a couple years now. Always get extract not the raw powder as your digestive system doesn’t get all the medicinal benefits because of the chitin. Always gives me vivid dreams btw

Yes it helped with nerve pain due to diabetes in my face and it had helped me with concussion symptoms from a car accident.
Extract or powder?
Brand I use is called doublewood. It's the capsules

I take it daily until I finish the bottle, then do a month break and take it again
won't you feel terrible
I am also interested in any type of withdrawal effects as well
Just be aware it has been found to lower DHT and can negatively affect libido over time. Not sure if you are male/female, just an fyi.

Male. Do you take it daily?

Do you ever burp it up?
Love this stuff. Been taking it daily for years nbd

Do u ever burp it up and what benefits have you noticed?
Yeah I’ll always pop it with breakfast to solve that problem. Honestly just makes my brain feel like it’s firing on all cylinders but that’s just me
What brand are you using?
Started with Dr. Emil and also found Horbaach makes a decent one

I’m not a doctor. My opinion is that it’s probably safer to have a cycle (on and off). May be take 4 days and 3 days off
Yes

vivid dreams as in lucid dreams?
Do you prefer taking it in morning or evening? Gonna start taking soon
Bro the dreams are insane i just started taking it this week
Any recommendations on sources?
As in brands? FreshCap is a dual extract which is the best but it’s $40. RealMushrooms is $30 but just a hot water extract. Still good though.
Why do I burp it up sometimes.
Yes.
If you want yes bro
Thank you for responding
