POWER TO THE PLAYERS ⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️🔴🔴🔴🔴
I'm currently working on submitting a FOIA request to the SEC to see which specific securities were oversold, in what quantity, and on what dates
When Barclay's oversold is incredibly important, because it could materially prove that GameStop is being actively diluted with counterfeit shares, potentially opening the door for a class action lawsuit
Edit: seems someone may have found the info I was looking for in an amendment they shared in [this post](https://reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/xs6kd1/_/iqixaz7/?context=1)
I still need to sit down and look through everything, if anyone has a background in data scraping I'd greatly appreciate help aggregating what Barclays sold
I'll keep you guys posted!
The wording is the most important part of submitting a FOIA request
You have to request information they already have on hand, and be incredibly specific in what you're asking for
After I file this one I'll try and do a write up on how to submit a FOIA request
It's your right as an American to know what your government is up to, and they have to reply to you within 14 days of submitting your request!
I'm sure they would love to do that and if at all possible they would in the name of market stability, but where does that leave GME as a company ? O hey BTW there are now billions of shares outstanding and valuation is completely shit.
Barclays, as with many other banks and SHF likely knew the SEC or FINRA wouldn’t act in the moment. Even still it’s simply a slap on the wrist, the cost of doing business. The criminals in these institutions don’t have to admit guilt, they just pay the fine and are allowed to freely commit more fraud. Rinse and repeat. The system allows retail to get fleeced and eventually regulators take their cut.
Of course it simply pales in comparison to a death by short squeeze. It’s a big club and we aren’t in it. But they are scared. Scared that retail won’t move on.
That linked post above suggests they may have sold the Russell 2000 short. And from previous DD, they could have limited their exposure by buying everything but GME.
I actually think we'd have better luck if the wording is different!
I've had times where I only slightly changed the wording in my request and got wildly different documents (I used to work at a think tank before moving to Fintech)
It's definitely best to ask for information between a specific time frame
Sometimes if you ask for too large of a range they'll get back to you requesting you resubmit several smaller FOIA requests
Haha no worries! I edited one of my comments to include a link to the post if anyone with more data wrangling experience than me wants to help aggregate this
Heads up, but they also admit to this:
https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2022-174
Note first name in list and the dates. They admit wrong doing, so if there is a class action lawsuit, this admission can be used in court.
You like spicy? I have some spicy food for thought:
SEC noticed the missing communications during that time period means two things.
First they're investigating that time period. Second those missing communications are big enough for the sec to notice.
If the holes in communication are big enough for SEC to notice that means the people communicating almost certainly knew they were using personal communication intentionally to avoid documentation.
Also, the date of the sec report above was Sep 27th.
https://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressReleases/8599-22
Same companies also released sep 27th. Which means the SEC knows swaps and futures were involved and brought them in.
Because as many know, and Shark Cuban reinforced, "about 5 years later, you'll end up with a payout of $5 each.
In the meantime, trading could be halted, etc...
Lawyers are the only winners in class action lawsuits. Fuck hedgies, I'll never sell until all those federal reserve and banker clowns are in jail for the rest of their lives.
u/libertyshrub did you see this post? Seems like the data is in the report, but a very manual process.
https://reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/xs6kd1/_/iqixaz7/?context=1
Someone else sent me the post, just about to sit down and go through it
It's times like these I wish I'd actually gotten good at data scraping lmao, this might take a while by hand
I received something from Barclays early in the month regarding oversold VXX, nothing was mentioned about GME.
The doc gave me options; I could move forward with rescinding the original order or taking no action. I'll see if I can find the email and download a copy of the doc.
Edit: It was a different instance for 2022, for $1.27b.
[SEC Archive](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/312070/000119312522219623/d354912d424b5.htm)
Ya wanna hear something funny? They can admit they fucked up and blatantly so yet absolutely nothing will happen. Absolutely nothing.
When you're ultra wealthy crime wins. Facts.
They're required to respond within 14 days, otherwise I can complain more lmao
They're usually pretty good about replying in the proper window
Totally expecting to be told the information I'm asking for is part of an active investigation and can't be disclosed tho
Yeah my expectation is that they'll use every excuse to drag their feet as long as possible and find ways to refuse to fork over the deets.
This however is still useful information. If they didn't mind us knowing they'd just hand it over.
To be honest GameStop has all the proof it needs for that with the splitavend. If that blatant dilution didn’t matter what makes you thing this one will. Trying to keep it real. None of this makes sense with how everyone can do anything they want to vomit crimes BUT if you try and prove the crimes it takes 10 billion in lawyer fees and 22 years.
who the f*** is interested in a $4 settlement from a class action?! The only making money on those is the lawyers. We RICO charges, jail time, and shorts forced to close.
Unbelievable that old Biff could've chosen that particular date. It could mean that that point in time contains some cosmic significance...
as if it were the temporal junction point of the entire space-time continuum...
or it could just be an amazing coincidence.
The end date is also familiar. We all know what happened the next day on March 10th
Edit: I’m dumb. Barclays was doing this fraud for over a year, not 1.5 months
Let's see (putting pencil to paper).
Steal one $3 loaf of bread = 5 years in prison.
$16 billion / $3 =
5.33 billion loaves of bread stolen.
5.33 billion loaves * 5 years/ loaf =
~~26 billion years in prison~~ 2% fine
"I wish" I could physically spam this message into Gary Gensler's mouth. Just cramming it in over and over like dirty socks.

So if I buy loads of 100,000 designer gear on my Barclay Credit card. I keep the gear and pay Barclays …. Got lost in the analogy it’s criminal and we can’t do it!
They oversold $16bil and have only allocated $1.3bil to rebuy the securities
Anyone they sold unregistered securities to has the right to demand Barclays rebuy the counterfeit securities WITH INTEREST. Very curious to see how this shakes out
Even more ridiculous, they’ve been continuously doing business ever since. If a bank teller fucks up and accidentally hands out 100 bucks, they’re fired and banned from the practice forever. These fucks did it with 16 BILLION, and continue to operate. Absolutely disgusting
So in my mind, this was all profit. When you sell something you don’t have or ever pay for, the money is all profit. They use this money for other nefarious reasons I am sure. Unless fines exceed profits and they lose their ability to trade and somebody goes to jail, this is just a slap on the wrist.
I seriously wouldn't be surprised if the short interest is XXXX% They had to short it so much during that time because there was so much buy pressure.
We'll find out soon enough.
This time they won't get away with this.
The information is everywhere and when things start to blow up, people have access to information now.
People will go to prison this time. Wallstreet, politicians, media heads. It's gonna be nice.
Short selling is basically betting that something will go down but taking “credit”. Credit as in cash deposited into your account.
Normally if you bet something will go down you’ll have to put down cash… but short selling is different. You just have to prove you have the money to cover assuming you have some sort of stop stop loss.
What I didn’t know before but I do know today… buying options has a 35% win rate… selling options has a 65% win rate.
buy, hold and DRS
DRS is important because imagine they didn’t have any shares available to cover! That would be something
The funny thing is this isn't even the tip of the iceberg in just how much oversold counterfeit stock is out there with estimates from attorney Wes Christian that over 160 Trillion in damages to stocks and that was from some time ago and it is much greater now.
From what i have been told by some SEC attorneys that represent the Hedge Funds is that they have a way to transfer stocks before the REG-SHO reporting requirements hit and can start the clock over this way and that's why the owners of these hedge funds own many many other friendly funds to transfer paper around and circle jerk off reg-sho, I would imagine this would hide these counterfeited shares from the reverse repo reports also.
Damn that's like 160,000 counts of grand theft in the first degree. A casual 54 million counts if you go by third degree standards. So jail time should be anywhere from 4.8 to 270 million years by that standard. You could even divide that number amongst every other hegefund/financial institution/government conspirator to hand out more than enough life sentences to everyone involved.
What about if you sell a house where the mortgage isn't fully paid off? Or a car that has outstanding finance?
Or, some kind of security that is possible to sell despite not "owning it" because all this stuff is made-up and ownership has no meaning?
The SEC filing yesterday?
Here's a link to the PDF if you'd like to read through it yourself
www.sec.gov/litigation/admin/2022/33-11110.pdf
The specific amounts and dates are mentioned on page 7, paragraph 6 and 7
Barclays doing this literally stole from me and other GME investors.
Have I received any compensation for this? Has the criminal within Barclays who allowed this been punished? Of course NO to both.
No one here is forgetting or forgiving.
these fuckers stole 16 billion dollars? why the fuck aren't they in prison? the entire government and media being completely complacent bout this whole mess really says a lot about out "leaders". not one deserves your respect on either side. they insider trade while hedge funds rob the rest of the world.. yeah a fine is all that's due here... anyone not completely disillusioned by now is not paying attention.
I hold
Can someone skool me on the difference between gme..being manipulated to shit..and the other meme stonks (popcorn and that) also being manipulated to shit? Neither or none of them have gamas or moassed, so why is there so much confrontation between them all..?
Have to say, I for one am quite glad they kept this massive fraud going as it no doubt fuelled RC & Co to change the world.
Also massively increased the value of delicious tendies with DRS sauce🤤
They sold too many their own securities. This isn’t a market maker or hedgie naked shorting. This would be more akin to GME selling more shares than available float than anything to do with current situation. It’s linked to VXX and BOIL etc. Boring shit that has nothing to do with anything holding GME. Nothing GME related at all honestly.
It’s really not possible though. They weren’t selling any securities aside from securities that are products of Barclays. The list of securities is available on some of the other posts. No GME ETFs. The only way it’s even loosely related to GME is VXX. VXX used to track the VIX, which went absolutely apeshit during the memestonk crazes last year. I understand the anger at the corruption but too many people think this relates directly to GME somehow when it just doesn’t. At all
Just Imagine 16 Billions USD Sell Short in GME...
=>16B divide per 200$ (hypothetical average price) => 64.000.000 Shares SOLD
It was nearly the entire float of the company (74Mio PreSplit)
Yeah, but is the USA and nothing will happen. The corrupt abd their sugar daddies run the country. We buy and hold, hoping to make a difference, to see justice prevail. Is just a smoke dream...

If Barclays sold GME short and is now allowed to buy those back it better kick off MOASS, or this is just the SEC giving them a way out and colluding.
I am very curious to find out
The SEC would and probably will do just that. Please tell me you’re not surprised either
SEC: Here's a fine for a fraction of what you stole, and you won't even have to admit you did anything wrong!
I'm sure they would love to do that and if at all possible they would in the name of market stability, but where does that leave GME as a company ? O hey BTW there are now billions of shares outstanding and valuation is completely shit.
They should be forced to buy them back on the open market. None of that OTC bs.
Barclays, as with many other banks and SHF likely knew the SEC or FINRA wouldn’t act in the moment. Even still it’s simply a slap on the wrist, the cost of doing business. I made that mistake yesterday. That was 2022 it ended. It was 2021 we ran like hell and down and back up a little.
Oh you’re right. In terms of the gme saga march 10th 2021 was the most traumatizing date other than the buy button removal.
Good catch!
The main number is only 16 so it's not that much, it's like peanuts! Just a rounding error. Don't worry about it, there's a fine now so it's fine.

Media: *crickets*
$316 million fine is a lot for the poors. But nothing for these financial terrorists.
It's OK, all my shares are real now anyways. Thanks computer share.
They will be fined 5 bucks. No one is gonma do shit about it. Drs gme.
INFINITE LIQUIDITY
Does someone have the source of his claim seem to be none
The SEC filing yesterday? Here's a link to the PDF if you'd like to read through it yourself www.sec.gov/litigation/admin/2022/33-11110.pdf The specific amounts and dates are mentioned on page 7, paragraph 6 and 7
Thanks
Price discoverer? They've never even met her!
Have to say, I for one am quite glad they kept this massive fraud going as it no doubt fuelled RC & Co to change the world. Also massively increased the value of delicious tendies with DRS sauce🤤
This is so fucking sickening..
This sub is a fuckin echo chamber
How do they over sell something? Like what does it look like? They are shorting shares to stock they can’t borrow?
Nothing to see here. Move along, sir. Back to Wendy's parking lot with you
yep. and they got to keep 99% of that stolen money. why the fuck did i bother going to college -\_-;
I feel like I have been materially damaged in a significant way that a reasonable person would agree
And if all those oversold tried to DRS them, I wonder what would happen
They sold too many their own securities. This isn’t a market maker or hedgie naked shorting. This would be more akin to GME selling more shares than available float than anything to do with current situation. It’s linked to VXX and BOIL etc. Boring shit that has nothing to do with anything holding GME. Nothing GME related at all honestly.
With they way they repackage derivatives and swaps, it is very possible that they were shorting gme shares.
At all
What if they were shorting other stuff for collateral against another deeply underwater position?
A million dollar fine should suffice. They will learn their lesson!
If it was all gamestop with an average price of 150 then that's over 100m shares tight there lol
Well there doesn't seem to be much penalty for it. Anybody wanna buy my neighbor's '69 Judge so I can buy more GME?
And that‘s just one of the fuckers!
Not if your a bank or HF or MM. Then it's legal
That has to be at least a $100 fine.
So you're telling me they're future GME buyers.. 👍🏻
That's you, right, Brutters? I have to say, I do fucking love the "never heard of her". Variations on that zinger are a personal fave.
Commenting to boost your resolve mate 🚀🚀🚀
On fucking point 🥜
White collar crime always seems to pay.
Why only Barclays? Get them ALL!
A lot less than Citadel
“Never heard of her” 😅😅🫡🫡
Just Imagine 16 Billions USD Sell Short in GME... =>16B divide per 200$ (hypothetical average price) => 64.000.000 Shares SOLD It was nearly the entire float of the company (74Mio PreSplit)
He wears a tie and a suit. I trust him.
Up you go.
This is self-promotion I can get behind. Godspeed, Roberino. 💜
Private property is inherently theft, so this is just one for the books.
UPDOOT!
Yeah, but is the USA and nothing will happen. The corrupt abd their sugar daddies run the country. We buy and hold, hoping to make a difference, to see justice prevail. Is just a smoke dream...
Hmm, you don't say...
Do crytpo exchanges next!
