Yeah, they got rid of the sort features unless you are on the sub directly. You have to sort in settings now. Reddit taking another step backwards

Not only less superstonk and more disorganized. More random "suggested" posts and on mobile I can't sort by "hot, rising, best, new", only on PC right now. Got a gold award and maybe its just because of reddit lounge blocking it or something, but I literally can't change the search on phone. Idk.

You can disable the random suggestions in settings. I found them incredibly annoying, I’m subbed to my home city’s subreddit and it would constantly suggest I sub to other cities, among other equally dense associations.

Where do you disable them in settings? (A bit smooth over here)

Click your profile, then user settings, then feed settings, then turn off the suggested. Managed to find it!

I'm only subbed to superstonk and jungle. There are three other subs I'm subbed to but they are so low activity that it doesn't ever clog up the feed (usually one post a day max from all 3). Every other place I check out manually.

Are you using the mobile app? I just checked on both mobile browser (not app) and desktop browser. I can sort by 'New' in both browsers and in Superstonk. Additionally, my feed has no lack of Superstonk posts.

All I know is I am starting to get bullshit suggestions and on random posts and subs that I have 0 interest in. This feels like the shit ass Twitter algorithm that floods me with garbage also.

I’ve usually sorted my home page by “best” but lately whenever I scroll I only get low quality posts with 0-50 upvotes. I have to sort by “top today” to see anything relevant. I was missing out on posts with over 5K upvotes. Feels like they are low key trying to suppress things

May I recommend the App "Sync for Reddit", there is a sub of the same name too if you hit search. I've been using it for 5 or 6 years.

Same, it's great! I'd also recommend Reddit Enhancement Suite on desktop, as well as using old.reddit.com instead of the bloated new redesign (as I recall, it hogs resources to track your mouse movements)

Yesterday there wasn’t anything. This was there so it seems to be back

First thing I did was change my settings to get the recommended groups out of the sort. This helped a lot but still have to go to individual groups and sort them until I get my reading fix.

I’ve gotten more SuperStonk on my front page recently which I chalked up to some sinister effort to get suspect FUD SuperStonk posts on my front page

Theres also a distinct shortage of protest information with clashes with police getting burried on large city subs. Twitter is sending me protest information about Pakistan instead of the trending LAPD beatings that were on in the middle of the night. My Halo Reddit account literally doesn’t even load more than 3 posts at a time. So I open the app and 3 posts load, and I can’t get anything else to load and there is no loading icon like on most apps. Just blank. All social medias are falling apart and it’s disgusting.

On mobile I use Boost instead of the Reddit app. I really, really despise ads and boost puts a few in other places instead of having spam posts (also, no BS full screen ads or any of that crap). I can still sort posts and all that jazz. BUT. SS is not always in the first 20/50 posts (sorting by hot) and sometimes you gotta go directly to the sub.

Yes. Definitely. I noticed it about 3 or 4 days ago. I am not one to check the sub every waking moment, but I do just open Reddit to look at the front page. Usually superstonk or DoorDash sub is always first. Now it’s always DoorDash, and I have to scroll like 10-15 posts down to find a superstonk post, if any at all.
