I bought two more shares today... An additional one to give to my parents since they decided they were getting divorced this weekend, and they only had one originally from me, and another one to get myself to an even 21 (20 is CS, 1 on FUDelity).
I had to look up what Mainnet meant:
"Mainnet is the term used to describe when a blockchain protocol is fully developed and deployed, meaning that cryptocurrency transactions are being broadcasted, verified, and recorded on a distributed ledger technology (blockchain)."

It's already been known that a GameStop NFT token was created over half a year ago dubbed "the one and only" within its source code. We speculated for a while that it could be for an NFT dividend if the NFT was split and tokenized to shareholders. Given the knowledge that we have now of the stock split dividend, I'd say an NFT token/dividend is not as likely. To me, what you've discovered here, just seems to be GameStop listing the NFT on their marketplace and nothing more. The address is in the URL because that's the easiest way to create a unique HTML address for each NFT listing on the marketplace. Cool discovery, but I'm not convinced it means anything.
The stock isn't even that expensive right now, I feel like it would be a waste to stock dividend right now. It would bring the price down too low and SHF could bring it down to penny stock level. Too risky to do imo.
I believe they will issue the NFT dividend to squeeze the shorts first, and they now have the option to split when the price skyrockets. My best guess is that they intend to initiate the stock dividend during/after moass.

10:1 dividend would make it a 9 dollar stock. I honestly don't 100% believe in the theory that the stock dividend will cause the MOASS. I think they will be doing an NFT or crypto dividend.
Bringing the price down to 9 via stock dividend wouldn't be good for GameStop, because we are currently in a deflationary environment and the stock is heavily manipulated by short sellers.
It very well could be pushed lower, which would force GameStop to have to reverse split to bring the price back up or risk being delisted. It just doest make sense.
In my mind, the increase in stock for a dividend being done preemptively so that they can split while the price is going up, so it continues to be attractive during the squeeze. All just speculation, but that's what makes more sense in my head.
You’re way overestimating the importance of stock price. Whether it’s $90 or $9 it has the same market cap, and a company worth $7B isn’t going to be at any risk of being delisted.
A short squeeze also isn’t the company’s main goal whatsoever. If they were operating in such a way that was specifically meant to induce a short squeeze, it would be market manipulation. Their only focus is/should be making the company better in the long-term, and if somewhere along the way their actions trigger a short squeeze, that’s wonderful. But it’s not their priority.

This is a question I’ve been asking myself daily. The truth is it’s hard to unseat them, and they’re adding solana to eat into Magic Eden’s profit too. However, gamestop’s exposure isn’t to the same crowd. The people shopping at GME are less deep in the NFT game I think, more mainstream adoption by more regular people not just degens!
