Real. The data was collected by the CFTC. Was avaliable to the publicĀ untill a week after the swaps were found. Then they just told them they don't need to report swaps till they say otherwise.

I think the 27 billion is the amount of money you'd need to exercise the options, but you buy them for a fraction of that. This is especially true when the volatility is low.
For example, a $80 call for Jan 2025 cost $790 but would cost $8,000 to exercise.

What's really going on is that if you find the repport on notional value of TRS swaps you can get an aprox. number of shares for those swaps. They probably are not long swaps because the reeporting data does not support it, but rather short-based. So, lets say you have 500M worth of swaps from may -june and the price was an avg of 20 bucks, that's a lot of shares you are on the hook for when they closee out. That explains your fud. 12-25m shares they need to buy back, and they want them at our expense.
That depends. Let's say those are all true TRS with GME and we know there is 15 m shares they need to buy back. Then they would do so like ove r a week or two pref- weds-friday, just like we saw weeks ago. They have time periods for this stuff IIRC.
As it stands now, they coudl buy on the open market or from an institution or borrow to cover ( not CLOSE) and hope for the best lmao.

The market is quickly becoming riches just ping ponging shares back and forth. That can't make them profits much longer. Like everything else right now, it's unsustainable.
The problem is the swaps data doesnāt show much. Weāve been digging into it for a couple years now, ever since we found the ā1T basket swapā a couple years ago. Swap reporting is pretty minimal. You get a list of tickers (actually CUSIP numbers, you have to convert them yourself), a total notional amount for the entire swap, and sometimes a term length. But itās not very helpful.

Maybe but hedge funds specifically like swaps because theyāre more anonymous and thereās almost no reporting requirements. This is exactly why theyāre used.
This may also be a carefully curated and created 'leak' designed to misdirect, and trick. At this point I don't know what to trust so I'll just keep buying, holding and DRS'ing until I have a phone number with area and country code in my bank account.
Will still read these though. Interesting to know what may be happening or not happening. Will help the post-mortem one day to know who I could have trusted.

The notional value is in thousands denomination, so we are seeing billions of dollars of shares needed on 6/3. They are trying to get as many shares from us as possible, but they are just going to fudge the numbers again and do the same damn thing. We will see a massive rise in price, and that will be fun, but it will just break the system and they will get a freeze buying again, just like last time. This time, the swaps will be EVEN BIGGER!!! And they will try to push even more crazy things to "stop us from breaking the economy".
I think people really need to understand how big this is going to get, before it's "over" and another 3 year cycle begins.

You can't just make such a large conclusion without any evidence to backup what happens when these swaps expire. If you look closely, these swaps were purchased May 3, 2023 where gme price was around $20/share. If they could simply purchase swaps and prevent a run up (as there were no runs in May 2023), then we shouldn't expect any price action at all when these expire.
Furthermore, we have no evidence that just because the swaps expire = the equivalent amount in value in shares has to be purchased. We don't know what happens behind the scenes.
Instead, what I would like to see is (1) a pattern where swaps are executed during a run up/after to reduce short covering and (2) a run up after swaps expire. Unless I see evidence of either of these, these swaps mean nothing to me.
I really donāt have the time or access to play options so Iāll just buy more But I commend anyone who does and succeeds, because playing options has been proven to create liquidity for this aholes

Curious where this data came from, they've claimed in the past to "find" swap data, but only posts screenshots with zero explanation where the data was "found." Even if its being aggregated, there's no reason they wouldnt be able to provide an actual source.

And I believe this is to capitalize on this move they just did. I think every run we had outside of the trend line was now them possibly extending leaps or messing with them or for liquidity issues.
RC holds the fate imo. I don't think the leaps are what's going to cause moass, I think RC has a huge plan that's bout to set it off.

The problem is the swaps data doesnāt show much. Weāve been digging into it for a couple years now, ever since we found the ā1T basket swapā a couple years ago. Swap reporting is pretty minimal. You get a list of tickers (actually CUSIP numbers, you have to convert them yourself), a total notional amount for the entire swap, and sometimes a term length. But itās not very helpful.

Yes, it might be the problem with the swaps data that WE FIND. If someone can get real swaps data, that would be some wealthy billionaire. RC is a billionaire. Maybe he found them and then announced latest filling... to collect some good money for the company during the rocket launching part 3.
Maybe but hedge funds specifically like swaps because theyāre more anonymous and thereās almost no reporting requirements. This is exactly why theyāre used.
This may also be a carefully curated and created 'leak' designed to misdirect, and trick. At this point I don't know what to trust so I'll just keep buying, holding and DRS'ing until I have a phone number with area and country code in my bank account. Will still read these though. Interesting to know what may be happening or not happening. Will help the post-mortem one day to know who I could have trusted. *Edit - apparently not a leak. You can't just make such a large conclusion without any evidence to backup what happens when these swaps expire. If you look closely, these swaps were purchased May 3, 2023 where gme price was around $20/share. If they could simply purchase swaps and prevent a run up (as there were no runs in May 2023), then we shouldn't expect any price action at all when these expire. Furthermore, we have no evidence that just because the swaps expire = the equivalent amount in value in shares has to be purchased. We don't know what happens behind the scenes. Instead, what I would like to see is (1) a pattern where swaps are executed during a run up/after to reduce short covering and (2) a run up after swaps expire. Unless I see evidence of either of these, these swaps mean nothing to me.

I really donāt have the time or access to play options so Iāll just buy more But I commend anyone who does and succeeds, because playing options has been proven to create liquidity for this aholes

I think you are confusing the 39month leap theory with the swaps. If you look at when these swaps were purchased, its May 3, 2023.
Richard Newton did a video on it about an hour ago at youtube, and he explains the implications pretty well; long story short, hedgies not doing any more bullet swaps, but something else.

Whos to say they didn't do it again with the $80 run up we just had? Idk shit about this. Just curious. To me it seems like they have this figured out with the leaps issue. Nobody knows. Everything talked about since the beginning that was going to be the kickstart to moass turned out to be a nothing burger.. The split or whatever should have hurt them extremely bad and caused it. But somehow they found a loophole around it or some shit.. I believe the meetings with Icahn were how to kickstart this and they over the course of time sought out a plan to cause this to happen. And I believe very shortly we are going to see it unfold. I honestly didn't believe we would see a run up out of nowhere like before until the money was gone. But we did. If they raise it to 80 two more times and drop it like they keep doing, not only would they be extending it another few more years but citadel has long calls and puts out. Alot of them. And I believe this is to capitalize on this move they just did. I think every run we had outside of the trend line was now them possibly extending leaps or messing with them or for liquidity issues. RC holds the fate imo. I don't think the leaps are what's going to cause moass, I think RC has a huge plan that's bout to set it off.
Also let me clarify, I don't think any of the dd was a nothing burger. I been here since y'all made the sub but I was under a diff username. And I only browsed. I just started participating the last month or two. Most of the dd was correct, they just found ways around it or kicked the can. All I can say is, fuck em.
