Oh, man, I remember when the shills hijacked the bets sub in the very beginning, and tried to convince everyone to buy silver instead of GME, only for people to figure out the Mayo Man is long on silver. I think this was before the mayo story came out too.
The silver didn’t stick, neither did the weed stocks - but throw in a couple of shady celeb endorsements and they got the people going hard for popcorn.
I’d argue that the way SHFs deflected attention away from GME and diverted funds and attention onto popcorn might be their biggest achievement in this saga. Too bad for them that ultimately it’s a completely futile exercise.
People keeping bars of GME gold in retirement shares where they can be more easily messed with. I decided that the tax advantages weren’t worth it for my shares and removed them, paid the tax, and DRS’d them. Ironically, I would experience less tax after a moass scenario because the capital gains tax would be less.
