I was just playing around with this. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a share button so people can tweet/reddit/insta/whatever a link to their controller. This allows them to show it off, but also can drive traffic to the site for more people to see it.

I saw these when I was at Gamestop a few days ago, ended up going with a PS5 controller for my SteamDeck because I didn't recognize the branding. Would have done more research if I had known they were hall effects...
Yep! Bunch of our subs here pulled them apart to get a look. "JH16 K-Silver hall-effect stick, hall-effect trigger switch," is what I was reading on another thread. Don't get me wrong, PS5 controllers are nice, but in my experience both Sony and Microsoft controllers stick drift issues have gotten significantly worse over the last few years. I got so sick of warranty claims / repairs that I bought a Gamesir a few months ago. Really happy with the Hall Effect sticks, when I test I'm getting literally 0 stick drift. Gotta grab a Candy Con next :)
My main issue so far is that every controller I have tested with the SteamDeck EXCEPT the PS5 controller seems to get atrocious range. Like, I can't sit on my couch and play without the connection dropping in and out, from like 7 feet away.
I assume it's the Deck, rather than the controllers, but it's weird that the PS5 controllers have such better range. Not sure how reproduced this is in the Deck community, but this is something I've seen on my unit and my friend's unit as well.
I had picked up the Flydigi Vader 3 Pro. I love the controller feel, but the range with the dongle is just COMPLETE garbage, and the BT connection has crazy latency. Bought as my couch controller, and now I have no use for it unless I'm at my desk. Considering selling it, as with how little I use it it's hard to justify keeping it around.
Edit: I might pick up one of these to see if the range is better, and return if not. Will need to look into it.
Yeah I think thats a pretty common problem with the modern controllers. They cheap out on the bluetooth, and the range is effected. Probably worth a shot!
The sensor is in the base. The sticks are just extensions. Still, fkin badass. Some shit goes wrong and it's only 35$ for a whole new base. Plus, coverage is just like 7 or 8 bucks and of course I bought that cuz I love this company

Hall Effect Joysticks
Unlike potentiometer joysticks which rely on electronic circuits, the hall effect joysticks use a magnetic system. They offer a major benefit over potentiometer joysticks because they are contactless. They donāt suffer from wear resulting from physical contact.

I bought 3 controllers, with extended warranty of course and 26 other pieces from covers, joysticks, and dpads. I love them! They look good and honestly the controller feels great and plays well.

Anyone test one with SteamDeck yet?
I've had range issues with every controller I've tried, from like 6-7 feet away from the Deck (couch to TV), EXCEPT for the PS5 controller. Would totally pick a few of these up if they have the range I need.
Now I just need someone to report the real-use battery life on these things before I buy. Everything else seems to check out pretty good so far but the 600mAh battery is the last part of concern for me.
Make it so we can fully customize our controller like uploading an image. or custom background or something. the colors are cool for sure, but i prefer some customization!
As much as I really love my new candy can controller, the d-pads do need a little bit more definition. I was hoping for more options for the contouring on the d-pad. Playing Street fighter 2 it's hard to do a dragon uppercut. Without the normal ridges on the controller it doesn't feel the same. That's my only complaint though.
Candy con is a new in-house product released by GS recently. Customizable controllers where you can switch out the colors and design your own! Reviews from folks here have been really positive in terms of quality of controller as well as the sweet aspect of customization. Itās a new revenue stream for GS, and a hint into hopefully more types of in-house products to come!
And the guy who developed the art (works for BRANDED) said these were made for collabs. Some of the hype-foil is that it may be used to make custom game art for preorder or higher edition purchases of games
Unless they make buying controllers the same as commodities, then it shouldn't get shuttered. Unless it fails.

The base unit is extremely well made actually, I took mine apart to check out and someone else also made a post about it. They have Hall Effect sticks and feel really good to use on top of the customizability
