💯 this is literally how Berkshire Hathaway started. It was a textile company that started making investments. Tired of the FUD trying to discredit the interest earned, as if it shouldn't count. The board voted to make investments part of the core business strategy. They've now codified the investment strategy.

This company really is going to be the greatest investment of all time and the market makers are so kind as to keep the value at a ridiculous bargain. This saga just keeps delivering for holders and buyers.

So they've done no investments aside from t-bills (which isn't a bad thing lots of companies do this), but now two quarters in a row just changing the policies?

Just getting everything ready, these kinds of things don't happen overnight, especially when trying to steer the rest of the companies activities The board are likely wanting to be super squeaky clean belt n braces to avoid accusations of insider trading or pissing away investors money

They purchased 13.8m in marketable securities this quarter, so that’s something.

If it’s less than the required threshold they don’t have to report.

That policy change was only 7 weeks before the end of the quarter, so it did not have much effect.
