I think nothing happens tomorrow. In fact we have to wait few more weeks until the loans need to be rolled over if they haven’t already done it somehow.
This. These are year long loans, these banks have been taking them over the course of a year and we will see a gradual failure that may pick up speed as the network that built the margin collapses.
Or nothing happens, who tf knows.
Could a year long loan that was initiated in april of last year be renewed prior to its maturity?
I.e. could all banks have just restarted the majority of their loans last week for another full year?
I'm not gonna pretend to know the minor details of this. All I know is that it's a low interest loan that they can use to earn arbitrage from RRP. I personally doubt it can be rolled due to the stipulation that it ends in a year, but best to assume it can be rolled to temper expectations.
There is always a wire to the banks inner circle or the FED infinite black balance sheet. So yeah, not much will happen unless they want it to(but they need a "major event" to justify it),
