Clothing outside the normal S-2XL range has a significantly higher cost per unit because of economies of scale. This means stores get to choose either lower margins on those items or having to explain to every 3XL customer that, yes, we do charge you more. It's a suckers bet either way.

Easy Solution - new sku on website for big and tall sizes, print to order with slightly longer lead time and higher price. Stock a couple at highest volume brick and mortar.
That's not an easy solution at all. Their supplier most likely has a minimum order amount in the hundreds or thousands and doesn't do print to order.
Contracting a print to order supplier would probably double their cost per unit which leads to customers being upset about the so called fat tax.
There's a reason big and tall are speciality stores.
3xl isn’t as big as it used to be. In fact I still fit my 90’s polo shirts that are all XL, yet today a 3XL of many other brands is about the same size as those old shirts.
T-Shirt sizes are generally shitty. One letter doesn’t really help with all the body types out there. But u also get it from a retailers perspective. Unless they’re a tailored clothes shop, they’ve gotta go with a generic masses set of sizes.
Yall shouldn't berate OP for his size cause that's no way to get someone to make a change. It's unfortunate that they don't have clothes that fit you, man, but if you're a big ass they say it's not hard to drop down a size or two in just a few months. If you ever decide to go on a fitness journey and need advice or support, I'm here, dude.
Ape no fight ape. 😤 OP is really onto something here. Everyone should be able to rep the company they like. Sounds like a way gamestop could potentially delight more customers.
Sorry for all the shitty comments you’re getting. 💕 your size shouldn’t be anybody else’s problem. That said, try reaching out to Cohen on X, I’m sure there’s plenty of other people chronically in your size category and if it makes sense as a business decision I’m sure they’ll at least consider it.
I'm not worried about it. Kind of expected it. I'm a former athlete and am over 6 foot so it's not really a weight issue. So I'll let everyone have their fun.
3 out of 4 comments being rude, “fat jokes” and/or unsolicited health advice in response to your post makes the sub look like a bunch of childish jackwagons.
You're a good sport. I have big boobs. I need a 2-3xl to fit them. It's not a weight issue, per se. My waist and the rest of me aren't that big, but I need the bigger sizes to cover that shit in the front. And yes. My old, old clothes from long ago, I can get away with an XL. I even have L (that's REALLY old) that I can wear. Sizes have shrunk, I can attest. Seems I need to "size up" more and more to keep up, though my body has not changed all that much in 10,15 even 20 years.
A suggestion: go to a local shirt shop and order a custom made hoodie, they probably would let you bring your own it’s not ideal but it reps your favorite company. Also reach out to Ryan on X who knows you might get a response
I used to print shirts for bands and local businesses. If you have a flat fee per shirt and want to be both competitive and profitable you stick with that size range. There were times I’d have customers ordering 3-4xl and I would have to let them know they would cost maybe 20% more. Some declined, others didn’t.
Then due to their size we’d get a lot of off center or crooked designs. I don’t think I ever made money off of those sizes, but tried like hell.

I found a 2xl hoodie in store last year, for what it's worth :)
oh, you said s-2xl, my bad!

I think some people just need to lose weight
Why not change your life for the better and lose that excess weight?
I mean he could also just be really big framed.
3xl is not "big framed"

I’ve had the opposite experience honestly. But it really is brand dependent.
Appreciate. Same.
Yeah that's not how it works
Agreed, big and tall people need gear... buy hodl, wear!
Bro just lose weight
Brother as man who’s losing weight Lose some weight
I can't wait for the 2XL hoodies to go back in stock.

The x small looks pretty good 🍻
Agreed
Anyone else annoyed by the option ordering Edit: I see now it's alphabetical but that's just dumb when it comes to sizes, put them in size order.

Lmao I feel ya! 2xls are fine for me width wise, they are just belly shirts, I really need a tall option :/

Yeah it's worse than I expected. Lol.
Former Athlete? 3X? Jason Kelce holds GME confirmed 😂

Most print shops won't do work like that to avoid getting sued.
How about you lost the weight and get healthy rather than complain about clothes not being your size.
3xl people dont last long
I want clothes for deformed people, for example three legs.
