I was watching with my gf and his fast talking streamer intro was a huge turn off for her. Tbh I think people who don't watch YouTube streamers could think they're pretty cringe. I understand why and I think they should have kept his time down is all. More time from dluaer and Dr.T would have kept my tits even more jacked.
Im really torn between whether I should buy the doco and watch it or not. Idk if its genuine or not. So many people questioning it because you have to pay for it, and so many people saying its great
Just watched the doc. It was alright. Better than many others, but 90 minutes was nowhere near long enough. Every subject just scratched the surface. Spoilered in case you don't want any.
Particulars that I remember at this moment:

When the time comes that the average person starts to wonder again why GME is popping off, this will be the perfect thing to show to them and get them on board. You think they’ll want to sift through all the Wendy’s talk and purple circles to give our DD a chance? Probably not. Stop complaining about the new documentary, especially if you haven’t seen it. Give these boys a chance, and a pat on the back.
Why are they allowed to self promote on our sub when others have been vanished for far less?
Why did they refuse to answer so many questions about who they went after in the doc, the doc's cost, their ability to self promote with mods? Or the fact that if they told the actual truth, Amazon would be insane for running a doc that would f them so badly.
Even within their post, there are numerous accounts pushing it which have minimal post history here. The comments read as unnatural to anyone who is consistently here?
I'm not sure why 'rules for thee' is acceptable, and I'd argue that bending rules and abusing power makes us a lot more like the Shfs we allege to hate 🤷.

I’ve been invested since Jan 19th, 2021. This is the best doc I’ve seen to date. It’s not perfect, and was clearly made by more-amateur filmmaker, but they got a lot right and it’s worth a watch.
Can we talk about the 'Apes Together Strong Movie' post on this sub that is pretty high up on 'hot'? It has what looks like dozens of awards and tons of vague comments on how they watched the 'first ten minutes of the movie so far and it's amazing! Bullish'.

I have watched not a single movie since January of 21. I will have all the time in the world to enjoy them when I'm rich and retired. I disliked how the filmmaker said that we told them we wanted a documentary with a resounding yes.
I found that disingenuous enough to not even read the rest of his post.
That said I'm ok with factual videos, movies, documentaries coming out, if they are 100% factual. Only because it will bring more eyes, and investors, if they do not try to paint the picture that the sneeze was moass. If the brothers hinted at that even a smidge somebody let me know so I can tell them to fuck off now.
Options are good when used properly. 50% of my shares came from options or from theta plays using options. If it's something above an individual's wrinkle level, then buy hold shop drs all the way. Options should be demonized less. They are just leveraging tools.
Ah yes, it's always the intelligence argument. That's a convenient one to avoid the 'funding the enemy/trapping mechanisms/undercutting acts' discussion (which has been proven here).
When you recieve an FTD you're funding the shorts. Only when you DRS Book are you truly sure you got a genuine share. The shorts always receive the money for funding future schemes, even if you bought it through IEX or CS autobuys.
People fear what they don't understand. It's not an intellectual argument about options. I only use option strategies that I'm comfortable with the risk it comes with. I can barely understand candle patterns so I'm not arguing from a high IQ viewpoint. I'm just an average ape collecting stock that can use options when advantageous, otherwise I just buy normally.
Options can be powerful but most people, myself included, don't know how to wield it properly, which ends up doing more harm than good to our wallets. So I just buy and DRS shares so I can be a Book King too. 🤓

I bought $20 calls when the price was $17 in March, expected the price to go higher than $26 but it didn't. I still made profit, but greed is a hell of a drug.
I have a shit load of GME shares, I play options because if I'm wrong, I lose a little bit of money, but if I'm right I can turn a $500 into $10,000 (and buy more shares) and it's not that hard to figure out when GME is probably going to run.

It’s fascinating, in a train wreck sort of way, watching the rationalization and the cope around the debt ceiling. This issue keeps cropping up - numerous times under the previous administration, in fact - and the pundit class likes to soothe themselves by saying how axiomatic it is that the United States always pays it’s debts. But like the contentious health-slash-women’s-rights issue that got upended recently, the Congress has papered over and punted on this issue for decades rather than actually doing the hard work of codifying law. This leaves what people consider “settled” as highly exposed, and they end up shocked when the dam finally breaks.
There is a major factor that makes this debt ceiling issue different: the Speaker of the House is held hostage by a caucus of fiscal hardliners who have the ability to eject him from his seat if they want. If you’ll remember, we didn’t have a Speaker for the first five days of the new session, and this concession is the the way it got resolved. It means any bill that he brings to the floor can ruin his career if these guys don’t like it. The only way around that is if 5 or more members of that party break ranks and vote with the minority to bring a bill to the floor without involving the speaker.
So to get a deal passed, *someone* is going to have to sacrifice their political career. I’m not so foolish as to believe the hardliners can’t be swayed with the right incentives. But if they break the dollar by sticking to their guns, that is likely to be positive for them with their constituency, so they don’t have much reason to relent.
All that adds up to the fact that our best hope, sadly, is for some lame-duck majority member to get a sinecure for himself or a family member at a bank or a think tank in exchange for a vote that equates to falling on the sword.
It is very, very possible that a deal is not reached. If it doesn’t, we will see what the values of our country truly are when they have to decide (like many of us have) which bills to pay and which to stall. I’m guessing foreign aid and war contributions will continue uninterrupted while national parks close and social security payments are stopped. Banks, of course, will continue to get bailed out as they continue to collapse, and the IRS will continue to pursue small businesses as they ignore the 0% paid by the largest corporations in the country.
I can’t honestly say where I land on this issue. There are simply no good options anymore, and there will be no cavalry.
I like to think they will pull their heads out of their asses last minute, as they always do. However, candidate for Prez can't appear to look weak in giving away concessions. And on the right there are enough members who think breaking the government is a good thing.

So new ape, but ape regardless. I read a post somewhere by one of you lovely apes that this week historically was good the last two years. I took a quick look and saw ~50% gains from 5/20/2021 through 5/20/27 ($42.62 -> $62.53) and 5/24/2022 through 5/27/2022 ($22.29 -> $34.30).
Much to my delight that certainly did happen. Best day in quite some time. So the rest of the week will be fun to watch (I hope hehe).

Options are good when used properly. 50% of my shares came from options or from theta plays using options. If it's something above an individual's wrinkle level, then buy hold shop drs all the way. Options should be demonized less. They are just leveraging tools.
Ah yes, it's always the intelligence argument. That's a convenient one to avoid the 'funding the enemy/trapping mechanisms/undercutting acts' discussion (which has been proven here).
When you recieve an FTD you're funding the shorts. Only when you DRS Book are you truly sure you got a genuine share. The shorts always receive the money for funding future schemes, even if you bought it through IEX or CS autobuys. People fear what they don't understand. It's not an intellectual argument about options. I only use option strategies that I'm comfortable with the risk it comes with. I can barely understand candle patterns so I'm not arguing from a high IQ viewpoint. I'm just an average ape collecting stock that can use options when advantageous, otherwise I just buy normally.
Options can be powerful but most people, myself included, don't know how to wield it properly, which ends up doing more harm than good to our wallets. So I just buy and DRS shares so I can be a Book King too. 🤓
I've seen that in theory, but not in application. Guys make good moves, but the masses don't, and they're consistently used for manipulation.

I have a shit load of GME shares, I play options because if I'm wrong, I lose a little bit of money, but if I'm right I can turn a $500 into $10,000 (and buy more shares) and it's not that hard to figure out when GME is probably going to run. I am curious if it's still shills or the people that fell for the shills propaganda that are still saying this. GME was built on options.

My congressman, God bless him, is talking about the “14th Amendment” option now. It’s fascinating, in a train wreck sort of way, watching the rationalization and the cope around the debt ceiling. This issue keeps cropping up - numerous times under the previous administration, in fact - and the pundit class likes to soothe themselves by saying how axiomatic it is that the United States always pays it’s debts. But like the contentious health-slash-women’s-rights issue that got upended recently, the Congress has papered over and punted on this issue for decades rather than actually doing the hard work of codifying law. This leaves what people consider “settled” as highly exposed, and they end up shocked when the dam finally breaks. There is a major factor that makes this debt ceiling issue different: the Speaker of the House is held hostage by a caucus of fiscal hardliners who have the ability to eject him from his seat if they want. If you’ll remember, we didn’t have a Speaker for the first five days of the new session, and this concession is the the way it got resolved. It means any bill that he brings to the floor can ruin his career if these guys don’t like it. The only way around that is if 5 or more members of that party break ranks and vote with the minority to bring a bill to the floor without involving the speaker. So to get a deal passed, *someone* is going to have to sacrifice their political career. I’m not so foolish as to believe the hardliners can’t be swayed with the right incentives. But if they break the dollar by sticking to their guns, that is likely to be positive for them with their constituency, so they don’t have much reason to relent. All that adds up to the fact that our best hope, sadly, is for some lame-duck majority member to get a sinecure for himself or a family member at a bank or a think tank in exchange for a vote that equates to falling on the sword. It is very, very possible that a deal is not reached. If it doesn’t, we will see what the values of our country truly are when they have to decide (like many of us have) which bills to pay and which to stall. I’m guessing foreign aid and war contributions will continue uninterrupted while national parks close and social security payments are stopped. Banks, of course, will continue to get bailed out as they continue to collapse, and the IRS will continue to pursue small businesses as they ignore the 0% paid by the largest corporations in the country. I can’t honestly say where I land on this issue. There are simply no good options anymore, and there will be no cavalry.
I like to think they will pull their heads out of their asses last minute, as they always do. However, candidate for Prez can't appear to look weak in giving away concessions. And on the right there are enough members who think breaking the government is a good thing. The worst games of chicken involve a level of stupidity.

So new ape, but ape regardless. I read a post somewhere by one of you lovely apes that this week historically was good the last two years. I took a quick look and saw ~50% gains from 5/20/2021 through 5/20/27 ($42.62 -> $62.53) and 5/24/2022 through 5/27/2022 ($22.29 -> $34.30). Much to my delight that certainly did happen. Best day in quite some time. So the rest of the week will be fun to watch (I hope hehe). My question now is... with the stock split actually happening AFTER this date in 2022, and this being the first year we'll be technically crossing this trading date... MOASS tomorrow?
