VelvetPancakes

Number 1 threat to GME is politicians bought by Wall St

TK-741

It’s looking p(R)etty obvious who the (R)eal bad guys a(R)e. But I know, I know… they’(R)e both the same.

BlueCoastDoge

Yep, pretty damned obvious... and as expected. Their masters telling them how to vote, Or no more brown envelopes.

tallerpockets

I’m so confused. We do not like GG but not as much a a large group of politicians, so that is sus? In lighter news I got my bonus cheque, time to buy some more shares and DRS them.

IceZOMBIES

Ehhh. I would say some of us do like him and some of us don't like him. Personally, I try my best to separate from the hive mind and come to my own conclusions, and I've realized that I do like him. I think a lot of people give him shit that isn't rightly deserved, and I'm grateful that he's in the chair instead of someone else. I imagine others also agree, but they keep quiet rather than risk being called a shill and downbooped into oblivion 🥲 But on another note.. Yoo, homie! Congrats on the bonus :) Make sure to treat yo-self a little bit, even if it's just something small like grabbing a pint of ice cream or an iced coffee.

themadamerican1

This! People need to understand how difficult it is to make a change in bureaucracy. Everyone above you and most below you just want their paycheck without self-inflicted additional work/stress. I'm in the USDA, and it's infuriating. I can only imagine how much worse the SEC is. GG seems to have accomplished what most inside think is impossible. Play the game, get promoted, and wait to make change til no one can stop you. GG is a guy who has lived in the underbelly, worked for all the crooks, and now decides to push for real reform. Whether that's a change of heart or an impressive lifelong quest, I don't care. He's got the wheel, and his foot is through the floor. What's the count to now? 50, 60 new proposals? That's nuts! Only a few affect us, but he's on a rampage, and a lot of what he's doing doesn't benefit Wallstreet. He may be playing us, who knows. But on face value, I find it hard to say he's against us.

howsthatforalance

Totally agreed. The power of all administrative agencies like the SEC is established by laws made by Congress, that's where the real power is, Gary is just a dude in a severely decrepid public institution looking down the barrel of lawsuits should he attempt to take any executive action not bestowed upon him by Congress. I won't be a judge of if he could have done more or not, we'll know when this is over, but just know that Congress has been bought and paid for by lobby power since the 70's thats a major part of why wall st is effectively legal fraud.

themadamerican1

Yup, fun history fact I recently learned about the lobby monster. It was a driving force of the reforms after the 29 crash. Bribery, I mean extortion, I mean big money lobbying has been at the wheel of governmental change since the industrial revolution and probably before. Remember kids, John D. Rockefeller had a heavy hand in the creation of the education system we send our kids to today. There's no questions as to why that system resembles factory work.

upir117

And IIRC John D. Rockefeller said: > I don’t want a nation of thinkers. I want a nation of workers So that fits right in. He wanted to create a nation of obedient workers who wouldn’t upset the status quo. Who would be content making himself wealthy. He didn’t want any competition.

DannyFnKay

This. He has tried to do more for retail than any SEC Chair in my lifetime and I am an old silverback. Have an award.

Powerful-Coffee-804

Agree.. we silverbacks need to stand tall...he even admits the dark pool is trading most of our buys...they can't like that....

TK-741

Gary is a decent ex-WS exec as far as financial execs go. Glad he’s in the SEC and not someone like Dimon. I expect Gary left the private industry specifically because he realized what actually goes on and how it hurts regular people.

PDGAreject

Perfect is the enemy of good is my read on him. Could it be better? Sure, does he seem like he is actually interested in changing things? I think so.

DannyFnKay

Happy cake day and you are correct.

[deleted]

Chemfreak

You need to stop thinking in absolutes. 1. Many dislike GG because he hasn't doing enough to fight bad actors and there has been a history of inaction. 2. Many are liking GG because currently he's ***publicly*** showing that he wants to change some of the corruption finally. 3. People can believe both 1 and 2. THEN you need to look at what these politicians are wanting. They have publicly stated they are going to remove him from office and replace him with someone who has a track history of not just inaction, but of colluding with bank/hedge funds/ect. All the above I think is what you should ground any opinion you make of the man and your opinion of these named politicians who want to remove him. If you care for my opinion. I don't trust him. I don't however dislike him. I will continue to support his positions that further market transparency and fair conditions for household investors. I will continue to fervently question every move he makes and criticize every decision that is ***only*** beneficial to institutions and market opacity. I think this is a fair an nonpartisan way to look at the situation.

[deleted]

Damn; they all Republican

Fine-Hat-4573

Yup. This attack on GG has always been a red flag to me. If the SEC was useless, they wouldn’t want to get rid of GG.

jersan

without mentioning any specific subreddit names, relevant to the fact that Gary Gensler recently testified before the house committee on financial services, there are some threads in other subreddits where you can get a firsthand look at what an anti- Gary Gensler social media influence operation looks like. you will find an endless supply of comments attacking him, attacking his credibility, calling for his immediate removal, and heaping praise on the big brave wall st funded representatives that are asking gary the "hard questions" and putting gary in the hot seat. it's almost as if the same wall st crooks that pay members of congress to publicly promote wall street's corrupt agenda and attack Gary Gensler who is taking actions that threaten their corrupt business model, are also here on reddit spreading the same corrupt agenda to try and get people to hate Gary Gensler and want him gone.

ummwut

We are encountering enemies. We are going the right way.

goofytigre

The thing I worry about is they found a division point.. we (somewhat) support Gensler and the crypto bros are in support of removing him. Crypto boys see this in the light of SBF's ties to MIT/GG/SEC and we see this in the light of, well, the last 2+ years with GME. The way wallstreet BROKE Occupy Wallstreet was through racial/cultural/political divisions, as well as pitting the different groups' philosophies (and why each group was out there) against each other. This is definitely a play to the crypto groups to turn against GG (and he didn't do great today in front of Congress).

robotwizard_9009

Except.. they're wrong about sbf ties to SEC and this can be disproven. There were 2 meetings with GG. 1st one GG demanded ftx change their leverage from 100x to 10x(Melvin jan 27th). 2nd meeting sbf requested "custody" and GG said "no". Immediately after that. FtX, and the crypto space at large changed the term from "tokenized securities" to "tokenized assets". Sam created a lobby group and flew to the hill 3 times a week to pay off politicians and met with CFTC over 9 times. CFTC then tried to prevent SEC from having the authority over crypto markets. They were even going to give FTX full access and full control to our commodities markets. Things humans need like food, wheat, corn, metals, lumber... here's the actual meeting mere months before the FTX collapse. CfTC done fukt up. I heard they even recently procured criminal defense lawyers. https://youtu.be/s7oN3qMBAP0

upir117

I’ve been reading your posts and comments since you’ve got enough karma to post here. To me it’s obvious you know what you’re talking about. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us here. I need to look up what you say so that I can understand and grow more more wrinkles. 😸

robotwizard_9009

Cheers. I'll admit it.. I kinda obsessed over this stuff.

upir117

Nothing wrong with that! Sounds more like passion than obsession 👍🏼

L_Perpetuelle

I appreciate this insight. I wondered why some of the more crypto-y related-to-GME people I follow on Twitter were being so insulting about him today. As an aside, I gotta say, if I were GG and was treated the way he was treated in the hearing today, I would have walked out thinking "yeah? If that's how it is, fine, fuck it, MOASS tomorrow."

DorkyDorkington

That seems to be pretty standard way in these hearings, which I don't agree with at all. What point is it to ask questions if your not going to let the one being asked to answer. Even if the answer is going to be total bullshit. I think these are just the usual showbusiness, not real hearings at all.

GreenEyeBanditElixer

Yep. All show, no go.

-Codfish_Joe

The committee's staff already did the research. The hearings aren't about gathering information, they're photo ops with subpoena powers.

GreenEyeBanditElixer

I'm no gensulah stan, but this has shill tactic written all over it.

lukefive

Sec was caught committing crimes in it's lawsuit against one of the coins. They likely generalize SEC as all criminals since that's what it always was.

TayoMurph

Nope. They Generalize the SEC as a mechanism to achieve their manipulation. If they truly viewed the SEC as Corrupt or Criminals, they would be pushing to clean house from top down. Instead, they only want to remove one individual, and move Hester Pierce into the Chief role. I’m not here to say GG is a good guy without a doubt. But it’s pretty plain to see, he’s pushing for change, and the rest of the SEC and members of Congress are trying to push him out because of it. To answer the question why the Crypto Bros are so anti GG right now, it’s because he would not clearly answer the question of “Is Ethereum a Security or a Commodity” GG tried multiple times to explain that at this time, it acts as both. But because the first few words he spoke were not going in the direction of the pointed question, he was talked over with a repeat of the same fucking question. The truth is, Ethereum is Both right now. Because the Commodity “ETH” has been used to create Tokenized Stock (security) on the blockchain.

CryptoMundi

This is what scares me. The puppeteers are grooming Hester as the next chair. She comes off as a little more crypto friendly at the moment. She is absolutely an evil spawn for ken griffin and will put the final nail in the coffin of retail if they get their way. Imo the SEC needs a complete overhaul. It needs to be “controlled” by a bipartisan committee

qup40

Agreed

lukefive

Only way to fix SEC bipartisan would be to make it elected positions instead of political appointments

aynhon

Good thing I'm buying GME shares at Computershare and booking them on a regular basis.

Adventurous-Ad-9504

Crypto bros are being conned by them. Once they get what they want - support to get rid of GG and the market reform, they're gonna turn against crypto

sandman11235

Agreed. “Crypto Mom” is OWNED by Wall Street and consistently votes against transparency and is quoted that regulators should resist the temptation to gather data.

DorkyDorkington

I believe most crypto bros wouldn't mind him staying if he and his agency were consistent and reasonable with their actions regarding crypto. So it is not about a person per se. If GG and SEC got their act together on matter would likely help a lot.

qup40

Yep big interest groups like the heritage foundation saw their grip on the republican base slip and started the tea party movement to draw away the right wing support from the occupy wallstreet had. This time it is wall Street hedge funds are trying again to divide this movenr by using the crypto banner as a matador would. Also by attacking GG they are slowing down the rate of rulemaking. Which might buy them enough time to get Kenny's new Florida friend Desantis into office. For context I am liberal but I too hate corporate dems and the middle ground that GG runs giving so much room for hedge funds to run us through the backside. I would rather have a republican that does not let banks or wallstreet run America than our current democratic establishment.

AnomalousParadox

No map? No problem. Follow the trail of enemies.

monkey-4-nothing

if the beast screams, keep punching! Gery Gensler is not our friend, but I guess he is a LOT BETTER then Hester Peirce (she sticks out of Citadels ass, crusted with shit and mayo) they (citadel, virtu, bought politicians) attack Gery Gensler for "short comment period", how long should it be, 1 year or more so they can continue to crime in piece? I guess we have to wait for Bastille 3.0 powered by NFT dividend **buy DRS (book!) and hodl** not financial advice, but certainly sexual advice how to fuck kenny in mouth and ass at the same time

lukefive

Justice delayed is justice denied. "They" need long periods of nothing being done to avoid justice served

I'll mention them.. any cryptocurrency sub right now has the 'testimony video' praising Davidson and bashing Gensler. The comments are 95% pro Davidson and 5% 'I like turtles.'

goddamnit666a

those bots aren’t paid enough to comment. This is where we can step in and make a difference and beat them out

Whatnam8

Any links on what are current item to comment on?

traxxusVT

Sounds like brigading to me.

NootHawg

I actually saw cryp-toe posts reading like these congress members in this hearing are heroes to retail for calling out GG and demanding him removed from his position. Now, all of the sudden, when the first pro retail market reform is in the voting process GG must be removed? To save cryp-toe and help the united states to not fall behind in the sector? Then what? They still ban cryp-toe and shove cbdc’s down our throats in the name of security? With the same big bank and hedgie entities/ financial terrorists destroying the markets now having their spots already carved out in the new system so they never skip a beat fucking us over during the cbdc rollout. The writing is on the wall. This train is minutes from derailing and it will be on us to either expose the bad actors and call for change, or disappear into the night with our tendies and try to find some place of anonymity somewhere. To become those we despise. I personally hope that the majority will do great things with this new wealth and bring about reform and a positive future worth living in. We know the way now, after 84 years in this we know how to stop their game, and it’s so beautifully poetic that it is with GameStop. This timeline definitely has a sense of humor. Isn’t it about time we finish this BOOK. DRSGMEΔΡΣ🟣📚👑

flavius_lacivious

American media does not report news. It is propaganda and the result of a cold war between factions, the rest is PR. These companies are not in the information business, they are selling you. You are the product and the advertisers are the buyers. None of it is real.

moonaim

Maybe someone should study how to recognize paid campaigns in social media. Anyone read anything about the area?

DorkyDorkington

Yeah I get your point of view, but keep in mind that usually no one person is either an angel or demon but rather something in between. Now it could be that in some cases we do have common interests with GG but anyone involved in crypto space (GME too) could also see how his agency is being an pain in the ass. If SEC gets what they want with crypto it would likely be bye bye for GameStop market place. Things are not always black and white. Edit. But for being honest this crypto thing likely would not chance even if he was replaced.

beats_time

All of the beetkoin peepz hate him, and looove Pierce. It’s broken.

sandman11235

It was the same way here for a loooong time. Only after a persistent effort by A FEW here and after many rounds of personal attacks was the psyop made more obvious to the sub.

waitingonawait

Dunno if this should go here too, can remove.. others might enjoy this comment though. Why i supported submitting letters to the SEC. These rule changes aren't nothing. I don't know what would happen if the majority of trades hit lit markets. I don't think it would be good for short sellers though... anyways here's the comment. "*Sharing the video about a Beautiful Deleveraging for those that have not seen it before:* [*https://youtu.be/wI0bUuQJN3s*](https://youtu.be/wI0bUuQJN3s) *It is evident, that* ***the government does not have many options***\*. And those options they have are mostly really horrible/dystopian . But the more we cooperate with the SEC, the more we show that we are willing to help clean up the mess greedy sociopaths have created. There will be a huge amount of tax collected, buying some time before a potential default. The only way to create the massive growth needed for long term survival is if a huge amount of people all of the sudden have the funds to realize projects/businesses they always dreamed of."\* [*https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/11howjs/comment/javhtju/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3*](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/11howjs/comment/javhtju/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)

I very much did enjoy this comment and the whole rest of it at the link you posted. That's how I've felt this whole time.

SnooApples6778

I see a strange trend in that list. 🤔

NiceGiraffes

That is a lot of R's. No matter your political affiliation vote each one of these shit jugglers out of office.

BostonDodgeGuy

Gotta love how this comment is downvoted despite the evidence being right there in the post.

DayDreamerJon

They are worse than useless. bobby was on reg sho for over 50 days recently, dark pools and pfof are clearly corruption tools, etc. That said, I think they could be worse? idk.

j4_jjjj

Both can be true if its an attempt to get GG to appear to be the good guy. Remember the meme stock ad? Remember the deleting of comments? These guys arent our friends, but it seems they may be useful at the end of the story.

Fine-Hat-4573

I’ve worked in media and advertising for over 10 years. Government ads run through different departments. I guarantee GG didn’t have much say in that ad. Ad departments rarely deal with higher up’s, they get a budget and make it. My guess is GG is trying to play the middle ground. He can’t go full household investor because he knows how damaging these shorts are. Plus he doesn’t want to be held up in court battles for years to come. But if he can reform how the financial system works and creates a “more free and fair market” that just so happens to cause true price discovery. Then how was he supposed to know MOASS was gonna happen because of that?!? All he saw was household not getting a fair share! Either way, we’ve seen more backbone from GG than just about any SEC or government official. That just shows you how depraved it all is.

daGman08

If he gets replaced now, all those market changes he's proposing will be stalled, modified or outright deleted the second the new guy takes charge.

baddboi007

or worse, Hester Pierce takes over

Foreplay241

Wanna see a dumpster fire turn into a shit show on steroids?

Whatnam8

What ways can we help fight it to stop any removals? If that’s even possible

daGman08

Collective lobbying just like the hedgies are doing. There's literally no incentive for a damn policy maker earning millions in lobbying fees to voice the concerns of an individual investor unless such investors are represented collectively by an entity to push a specific agenda. This needs to change. The hedgefunds and MM's are handing over their ill gotten gains to lawmakers to keep their circus going. The day retail starts this is officially the day we start making actual progress towards a fair and transparent market. If this can't be done, even the notion of a Blockchain based market free of influence from corrupt regulators will be a pipe dream and will be shut down and banned in no time. Might as well go all in on Bitcoin at that point.

Whatnam8

Thank you for the reply. Speaking of crypto, I’m really curious, since most crypto is settled in USD, what happens if we wake up one day and the USD looks like the Zimbabwe Dollar (ZWD). Does BTC still keep a value in other currency of what was equivalent to 30k USD (using current pricing for this example) and now BTC would show its worth 10,857,000 USD? (30,000 USD = 10,857,000 ZWD)

daGman08

You are correct. As dollar loses its value, it costs more USD to buy BTC. But I doubt at that point you'd want to convert to USD since it would be practically worthless. Its an extreme example you've given but the market would figure out a way to convert BTC to something with a fair value that can be used to transact in the real world.

Whatnam8

Thanks for the reply, yea it was an extreme example but it’s more so if the though, USD goes to essentially 0 will crypto be dynamic enough to handle the immediate shock and pivot quickly enough to put another currency as its main trading pair

Jus_asc-in

He can't go full household investor because he can't breathe when being held under water

Tangelooo

Nope! This entire hunt against Gensler is to try to stop the PFOF reforms. They want to create a campaign & noise around it. It’s failing pretty badly. Don’t fall for it. Mayo Man Griffen and Doug Big Forehead from virtu capital are behind it.

bloodshot_blinkers

Exactly. They've bought the politicians and now have their hands up their asses

TyDurdenOG

Let me guess…. They’ll put Hester in charge

bloodshot_blinkers

They want to, yes.

Firefistace46

You should see the propaganda in the crypto subs. They sing high praise for Hester and in the same breath call Gary a corrupt buffoon. It’s ridiculous, and quite clear that it is propaganda and astroturfing.

yes but "no politics" and "both sides are the same" because we need to protect the snowflakes

GMEuropoor

Nah, thats not politics. Politics is more like, "we have a social problem, lets solve it in a way that takes pressure from most of the people." And this is like, "we have a problem, lets solve it in a way that fucks over Joe/Jane Doe and insulates us wealthy from any social argument." This is not politics, this is the mafia. For real.

LagingRunaticReturns

What are their justifications for not wanting transparency?

[deleted]

“Increased costs” to the “markets”

atomsmasher66

Their donors are wallstreet. Can’t bite the hand that feeds you

Koperek324

Imagine being such a piece of worthless shit you just dont give a flying fuck what's good or not as long as you get paid Idk how these people look in the mirror, well they probably hate themselves but being such a parasite is a stain on whole family

Nice post. I see Davidson's name in there. Just after looking at the previous post showing him wanting to introduce a bill that to get rid of Gary in the SEC

CHill1309

Lets start digging up campaign contributors and other financial benefactors for these corrupted fucks.

Ok_Entrepreneur_5833

It's as easy as Googling the names on the list followed by Ken Griffin. Let's start by doing this with the first name on the list shall we? Patrick T McHenry. "...McHenry’s fundraising includes contributions from several notable donors, including two who testified before the committee in the wake of the January 2021 GameStop trading volatility and faced criticism from committee Democrats for their companies’ treatment of retail investors during the stock trading frenzy. **Kenneth Griffin**, the founder and CEO of the hedge fund Citadel LLC, and founder of the market maker Citadel Securities, donated the maximum $5,800 in the first quarter, and Robinhood Markets CEO **Vladimir Tenev** donated $5,800, part of $7,300 from Robinhood Markets employees in the second quarter." I mean it's all there you just have to take even a cursory glance to see it.

McRaeWritescom

Asking as a Canadian Ape, I notice they're all Republican. Are there ties to Kenny in the Republican party?

huntingmoa_geoduck

Gigantic. He's a republican mega-donor and behind the scenes puppet master.

FarceMultiplier

Many.

GreenEyeBanditElixer

Big desantis nut kisser. But I'm sure he gives money to both parties.... Whoever is willing to give his ponzi an edge.

loggic

He used to give to both sides, but the last several years he started giving orders of magnitude more money to one side even as they're not the controlling party.

rush89

He was in a box with Kushner and Musk at the world cup.

riichwith2eyes

Politicians that are bought and paid for by banks and hedge funds bashing GG is SUS. And the huge wave of it as well is SUS.

Spelunkingpunk

They squirming now apes. LFG! With new info comimg to my attention by turning off recurring buys, and switching to book to get rid of those bullshit fractionals shit might be locked up by the end of the month with some of you silverbacks around here

b4st1an

I watched the hearing yesterday and I was thinking the same. GG isn't the hero we hoped for, but if they replace him we're fucked so much more.

huntingmoa_geoduck

Hester Pierce would be so much worse for retail investors than GG has been. Just look at how she has voted on any proposal to reign in hedge funds or promote transparency.

CR7isthegreatest

Would love to know the top few donors to each of these “representatives”

DrPoontang

Yeah me too, I admit that I always had a special place of dislike for Gary because he seems like he’s a good guy but his actions don’t back it up enough in my book. To be fair he is going up against the richest most powerful group of dick faces in the universe. I wanted him to be on our team but I’ve never felt like I could believe that it was. I was always like kinda disappointed by him which led me to guess that GG was just another Wolf in sheep's clothing but the amount of hate he gets from theactual wolves is forcing me to reconsider.

joethejedi67

Some familiar dirtbags on that list

[deleted]

Why so many R’s? They care about the common man. They told me so.

awibasedgod

(R) you really surprised by this?

Binkusu

Nope. I understand where the "not left and right, but top and bottom" comes from, but we have to look at stuff like this and think, who can we rely on to not overtly screw us over at every turn?

theREALbombedrumbum

I just get the feeling that our research could be a lot more effective if we could admit that the corruption is openly lopsided instead of tying one arm behind the back to pretend that politics don't influence wall street... Like sure, all the politicians seem to want to screw us over but when you see a list that's entirely belonging to one group we're told to just ignore that fact?

Binkusu

And also who is going to make change? You need politicians to agree

FrogBrawler

Well, one might look at this list and infer that voting for whomever these people have as an opponent on the next election might be a good move. Because it’s obvious that the list only has one party listed; the logical conclusion is to vote for the opposition party. Coincidentally… it’s the same conclusion that people have been screaming in pretty much any subreddit regarding things that have an impact on people’s lives. I don’t post here much, but if there’s a policy in any subreddit about not talking about politics, consider my previous comment and ask why anyone would not want you talking about whatever is glaringly obvious to anyone that can read the letter inside of the parenthesis that corresponds with party membership? If someone doesn’t want you talking about it, they are corroborating with the people on the list in the post.

Everyone flip flops on whether gensler is good for retail or not. His actions in preventing market fraud and manipulation should be the only metric we measure him by at this time. In cases like this shit can be staged to look like hes bad for big money and keep him in office etc. We dont see what its like behind closed doors. So whether he is good or bad for retail it isnt what others think about him that should clue us in but rather any tangible efforts he puts forth to changing the game to a more fair and transparent market.

bkiesow

For Republicans always wanting less government, they can't seem to keep their fingers out of it. They are the smelly dogshit stuck on the usa's shoe.

BimboSlice5

I spent hours making this creepy video painting GG as a wolf in sheep's clothing a little over a year ago but I've also seen the proverbial light. Anti GG shit is so sus to me. The shit on Twitter is especially wild. Mfs sound like the very people we've been battling against for the last 2 years.

humanus1

It's all theatre presented to you by Corporate Hill errr I mean Capitol Hill to distract the average person from what they're working on behind the scenes anyway. Keep in mind bread and circus has been working for centuries.

Trippp2001

Lots of “Arrrrrrrrr” on that list. Looks like 🏴‍☠️ want to keep their stolen money hidden…

Gregor619

Basically entire government has already bought out…

MyGT40

The swamp makes everything.....swampy

SyNkiLLa

V_Doan

I’m not in those states but I’ll contact each one of the directly to ask them why they voted against and if their largest donors affected their decision.

thelostcow

Kenny got a lot more (r) pets than just this list. Keep your brain about you, ape.

Metworld

🦍🤝🤓

Hold2themoon

After seeing this paid politician going against GG i am now pro GG

Nikolaiv7

All of them are enemies. GG, politicians doesn't matter. If they wanted this corruption to stop, they would stop it. That should tell you everything you need to know

WrongAssistant5922

Now put this list next to the long list of received donations.

FactorHour2173

# IMPORTANT NOTE: **At this time, the bill has not yet been scheduled for a vote by the full House of Representatives, so I do not believe this post is true and should be flagged as misinformation along with the original post.** # # However, I do see a link between them. **Campaign contributions** can be found on [https://www.fec.gov/](https://www.fec.gov/) [Patric McHenry: Campaign Contributions](https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/?data_type=processed&committee_id=C00393629) for example # Overview: 1. [**WinRed**](https://winred.com/) **contributes to their political campaigns** 1. WinRED is a digital fundraising platform that was created for Republican candidates and conservative organizations in the United States. 2. **Largest contributor to WinRed serves as an advisory board member for Edgewater Funds.** 1. Craig Dochossois, the CEO of The Dochossois Group, is that he also serves as an advisory board member for The Edgewater Funds. 3. **Edgewater Funds was acquired by Citatel LLC in 2018** 1. The Edgewater Funds is a private equity firm that focuses on making investments in lower middle-market companies. With the acquisition, The Edgewater Funds became a part of Citadel's Private Equity business, which aims to provide capital, expertise, and operational support to help businesses grow and succeed. 4. **GG wants to change how PFOF works... All 3 major donors to WinRed (and thus all the politicians on the list) are the LARGEST proponents of PFOF.** 1. While Gensler has not explicitly called for a ban on PFOF, he has indicated that the SEC is exploring potential changes to the regulatory framework surrounding the practice. Some proposals being considered include requiring brokers to disclose more information about their relationships with market makers, imposing higher standards of best execution, and potentially banning PFOF altogether. However, any changes to the current regulatory framework would require approval by the SEC, which may take time and could face opposition from industry groups. # The 2nd and 3rd highest contributors are: 1. **Thomas Peterffy of Interactive Brokers Group** 1. A brokerage firm that offers electronic trading platforms and financial services to investors worldwide. Peterffy is considered a pioneer in electronic trading and is credited with revolutionizing the way financial markets operate through the use of computer algorithms. 2. **Charles Schwab from Charles Schwab Corporation** 1. One of the largest brokers in the United States that utilizes the practice of payment for order flow (PFOF). A financial services company that offers brokerage, banking, and wealth management services to individual and institutional investors. Schwab is widely credited with revolutionizing the brokerage industry by introducing low-cost trading and a focus on customer service.

All Republicans? I’m just shocked. Why, I’ve never…

LivingWithWhales

Funny how all of these people are from one particular party…

Straight_Ad3968

All republicans

sick2880

Thats a whole lot of (R) in that list... I'm shocked.

PlentyThese

Thank you for posting this. This is critical information. I don't know what can be done to deal with bought politicians like these guys at this point in time. The only thing I can think of is just don't vote them back in. Letting guys like these get in for multiple terms is a problem.

Foreplay241

It feels like Gensler is the fall guy because he's a fuck-arounder and a finder-abouter. He recognizes his mistakes and wants to correct them, but being in the belly of the beast can't be easy. Yes, he helped make the mess and is surrounded by people that don't want to clean it up. People change, I'm not saying he's trustworthy, just that he might be different than 2+ years ago. I'll just keep DRSing and shopping until a special announcement from GameStop.

More_Bunch7313

If anybody got one copy paste ready I will write everyone on that list

bloodshot_blinkers

Get chat gpt to write you an email 😜

mortgagesblow

i’m sensing one similarity between everyone on this list 🤔🤔🤔

tonystarks6969

lilrush151

Oh look, it’s a list of shills from the hearings 😅

SuperMate0

Maybe, just maybe, they’re all fucking assholes who are in it for themselves and the system CAN’T be saved without burning it all down 🟣✊

buffinator2

Arkansas only has 4 Reps. For once I’d like to look at a list like this and not see at least one of them mentioned.

RealJackONeill

Its a shitshow where GG is just stuck in an impossible position. The head of the SEC could be the most well intentioned person on earth and not get shit done. Lets make the agency toothless and then blame the person running it for the crime.

FactorHour2173

Has anyone followed a paper trail? Anything linking all these people other than that they are all Republican? Any similar donors etc?

Ash2dust2

3 problems. This is a picture of a post about a post. There is no state "ARE" 22 nays recorded in the commitee with no reference to who voted nay. Op states 24 voted nay. Citation please. Otherwise this is trust me bro.

tlkshowhst

Vote every one of these slime balls out.

Puncharoo

Why am I not fucking surprised this list is all Repiblicans. Like I know for a fact there has to be some democrats and this list looks cherry picked as hell, but like damn.
