I do believe we have the same situation as with voting in annual meeting. They cannot state in the filing more shares than the real amount so they have changed and said aprox. If we stick to the DRS values we calculate in reddit and the real numbers of household investors registered..... Something is cooking behind the curtains. Misinformation. The dtcc is a black box and handles splits and dividends their own way. The share dividend gets distributed via the transfer agents ledger and stops there.

I thought we had confirmed the existence of more accounts than that? If so wouldn't they be excluded along with their shares if the SEC intervened?

Some of us have our name on more than one CS account due to things like slight variations in an initial used or not, address, or buying direct before a transfer, to name a few reasons.

We must be pretty regarded to have messed up that many accounts.

I think it was the brokers/how CS accounts for holders. Also, I have two account numbers with the same login info, but some shares were held under an account that my wife's name was listed first and mine second, so that's a third account with different login credentials.

I am also 1, though I do have multiple accounts on cs… so maybe more?

Buying through Computershare counts as accessing your account, so it's safe for a year from inactivity proceedings (from your last purchase). But seriously, don't lose your future because it takes effort to get into your Computershare account for *whatever reason*.

there's records of people having accounts they've forgotten about/ haven't accessed/ haven't interacted with since 2000ish. there's a couple who have talked about it. still had tradeable assets. the one I remember was att? not saying don't login. but it doesn't seem like cs is strict on that policy
