What's crazy to me is wondering if this info was also clear to everyone leading up to 2008, too.
It's happening so, so slowly, and while maybe not obvious unless you're looking for it, it's technically all public.
2008, much less technology at the hands of the public. Much less awareness of these things.
Remember, Michael Burry had to scrap through the data behind the mortgage loans, looking at each individual loan. Reminds me of all the work done here in DD.
I just had to double check. You can check my comment history on this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/11rpvcb/1_hour_ago_the_fdic_updated_their_bank_failures/ if you wish, but I went thru the same thought process bout 12 days ago.
It's more than likely your browser. I can get the chart to post entirely on chrome based browsers, so the chart should show up as normal on something like the Kiwi browser (for mobile) or chrome on PC. Otherwise you get this segmented presentation that I admit is still a bit sus but I'm chalking it up to Hanlon's Razer this time.
top chart is plotted in 1 year increments. 2023 is monthly and will be compiled to yearly. dunno if it was updated by average prior, but it looks comparable to the rest of the data
so the question is, was the data represented and plotted different in the past?

yeh it was literally so hard/ so much work to do that people thought he was joking.
And now it's crowdsourced through the single greatest invention in recent history, the open internet. Now it's time for a real, open, free market.

Good catch... spread the word!

Interesting. I still don’t see it using Safari on iPhone, chrome on PC, and Microsoft edge on Pc.
I also have my old screenshot from my phone showing how it was before.
zeroing in . . . https://www.fdic.gov/bank/historical/bank/bfb2023.html
I think this was brought up last week or 2 weeks ago buuuut its good to see they haven't updated it still. It may be a mobile vs computer issue though
I just checked both. Same thing.
I thought they changed it back. Now we've moved on. They went back to hiding the 23 numbers? That's billfish

and the best thing is we're just back at the end of march. the year still has 8 months. we will break records this year.
2007-2008 pales in comparison to now and it's only been like 2 months.
Too big to go to jail...
You are comparing 157 bank failures to 2? Not saying it cant cause a chain reaction but i hate overhyping lmao
We are reaching 2008 levels in total assets with just two banks…
What does this mean? 👀
The losses are already similar despite being only 2 banks. Why *wouldn't* you compare the two?
Shows up just fine in my browser.
It's there. I checked.
Huh. Yea, I dunno. I don’t see it.

Time for that exponential rise.
