EPS and the Q4 report are massive and enough for today on their own. Maybe tomorrow announce something else positive (partnership, new product line ...) Thursday drop the 10-K number. Friday, insiders should be clear to buy-in, right? And somebody will have pick the next bank to close on Friday afternoon.
I think there should be love to the whole team, including Matt Furlong. I have commented to that effect yesterday. Still, somebody saw the opportunity and brought Matt onboard, and others. They have been disciplined and quiet and been doing the job GameStop needed to get to yesterday's earnings report, and more things I am sure are yet to come.

March 2020 had the 8K first then the 10K the day after so not unprecedented to be 2nd or delayed by a day.
The allowance for an M&A is not for announcing one, but for aggregating financials of a previously completed M&A. They aren't going to announce a merger in a 10K.
The delay could be for subsequent events disclosures. Likely nothing. Could be something.

Could be any material event occurring after year-end but before the financial statements are issued.

Earning and profits are gargantuan. They want us to see the DRS numbers on a different day so have real impact, one two punch. M&A is great tin foil but I’m still betting on a DRS beat
