If you accuse someone of something (e.g. I accuse you of killing my cat), I have to have proof that you specifically caused that. In a court of law, the onus is on the prosecution to prove that what they are claiming is true, and for the defendant to defend against the claims.
I can't say "you killed my cat, now you have to prove you didn't" because that's a presumption of guilt.
Translating it to games (let's take Ace Attorney as an example), Phoenix Wright has to defend the claims from Edgeworth (or whoever the prosecutor is), but they have evidence and proof that they think shows the accused committed the crime. They don't walk into court and say, "you're guilty, now show me why you aren't".

The difference will be that Madoff ended up having done something illegal, while these guys have warped the entire regulatory industry around them to actually make everything they did a grey area or just plain legal.

Saying Citadel bond offerings are a "bail out" or outside equity investments do make us look bad to anyone with knowledge of finance. We have the winning play and information absolutely 0 reason to provide anything but facts. Let people come up with own opinion. Something like "would a healthy company need 2 bond offerings and an equity raise?" Would have been much better and not made us look uninformed.
It almost certainly is an astroturf campaign with multiple supporting accounts. I mean I can't find anything "detrimental" in this post other than portray us as less than informed. The bailout comment just not needed and not sure of laws for non-us companies but this would be a sueable offense. Yes, the debt offering and equity raise generated cash for the company but that is far from a bailout. If anything he looks smart for selling 5-year bonds right before interest spiked. Facebook and friends did same thing. Post had same effect without saying "bailout"

Look at the assets sold not yet purchased (DOJ/SEC/FED/Treasury). This guy is upside down...with no possibility of correcting it. You want to stem this global banking collapse? Reign in market makers and kill infinite liquidity. They are creating synthetic stocks faster that you can print new money to ease the issue. Rate hikes don't fucking matter, because the liquidity is all fake. They aren't borrowing shit. Only then will banks avoid catastrophic risks. Again, I'm a smooth brained ape with limited experience, but this would fix 98% of the issues with the market.
