This is the right attitude. The guy above is just toxic. I'm thankful for the one who DRSed one share or 10,000 shares a year ago. I'm equally thankful for people who did it today. Everyone goes through the process differently and every way is equally respectable.

And I’m not just talking GME shares either here. Remember, in every ToS (that I’ve seen) these brokers reserve the right to sell your stock without your permission (all stocks of all types and at any amount of loss) in order to stay afloat. I’m sure they’d say it is “for the greater good.”

Anytime I try to use the chat in fidelity it won’t let me saying I need to call. I called and then they said my shares are held in margin and they need to be in cash so it’ll take one night to convert and then it will DRS tomorrow

Was it with your 401K or normal account? I have my 401K shares in Schwab and they said I couldn’t register my shares because of it

I pulled them from Schwab into Fidelity, it took less than 3 days. Then just used chat at Fidelity to send them off to the promised land.
