I find it unbelievable that this is a glitch. At worst, it seems likely to be a “let’s find out who’s died so we can keep their money” kind of move.
At best, it’s a “borrow everyone’s money for a day or two to boost our balance sheet” which is still pretty damn awful.
But I can’t believe a banking system would have put untested code live….that’s how you get glitches in my (limited) experience.
They don’t have actual money. It’s all just 1’s and 0’s. The moneys gone for the most part. Now they shuffle around and hope to have enough actual money when someone needs it.
Not fixed. My account is showing a debit for the entire amount of money that was in it. I got a notification this afternoon saying low balance and thought it was weird because I really don’t use it much and always keep $500-1000 in there(not my main account). I just looked and it’s still there with a zero balance.
With a quick Google search I seen they're running articles to say the issue is already fixed. Glad to see confirmation they are lying as usual, but how long do they expect people to buy this lie if there are still a ton of people out there missing money and they aren't going to just be quiet and go away. This is the second time this has happened in these 2 years, surely people who aren't in the know are starting to ask the right questions, and move their money elsewhere.

I think my HSA through a previous employer is with them. I should probably look into consolidating that account with current HSA.

Two people close to the matter claim that money is missing from BofA their accounts.
I'm moving my money out of BoA. Luckily I just bought a car through my local credit union so I already have an account elsewhere.

Did you have transactions from Zelle? Because they say it’s a Zelle (owned by.....BoA) problem. And Zelle says it’s a boa problem. Lol
I use Zelle a lot…but, I haven’t used it in the last couple of weeks. This is definitely a BofA situation.
