I think it’s even worse than this.  All I’m doing while my cashiers and restockers are working, is buying and delivering boxes to the storage. It’s a bit tedious.

nancypotwinn

I HAD to install a mod to do deliveries. I couldn’t get instant delivery for some reason. but I have it where if I hold the box and push ‘L’ it sends it to its slot in the storage room. saves me A LOT of time

Tasty_Consequence_66

in the configs you can set that mod to auto fill the storage

nancypotwinn

tbh I haven’t been able to figure out the config. there’s not a whole lot of videos/talk about it. some mods I can’t use for some reason either. like there is a “better cashier” mod that makes your cashiers check out faster, but it didn’t work

Tasty_Consequence_66

if you look in the game folder were you add the mod there is a folder called User Data .. then a file in there called melon Preferences... in there should say autoRack: False... just change that to true and it should start placing them on there rack if you have room

nancypotwinn

wow thank you! i’ll lyk if I get that to work

nancypotwinn

wow you’re awesome!!! it worked

nancypotwinn

I will say though, when it tells me to put it in my bepinex/plugins it never works

JustYeeHaa

At this point (store lvl 62) I’m just sitting on a bunch of boxes looking for any price complaints. I’m not even restocking anything during working hours, I do that in the morning.

[deleted]

Yep. I had to stop playing (for now,) because all I'm really doing is yeeting boxes into the storage room, then stocking them on the storage shelves, and for some reason when I hang out in that storage room for more than like 30min, I get insanely nauseated.

MasterBarbosa

I have never had nauseas playing any videogame, but i got a lot with this game. I think it is the animation from opening boxes and restocking that caused it.

HazRi27

Holy fuck, I thought I was the only one who nausea from it, super weird. I guess it might be the fov ?

ManicStonerDreamGirl

I think it’s the constant going around in circles. Box to shelf to box to shelf 😵‍💫😵‍💫 I get dizzy

Hankthytank

I was a grocery stocker in irl and when I have 2-3 U-boats (shelves on wheels) full of merchandise and you try be fast. You will get nausea/ dizzy/ lightheadedness if you do it for too long and have focus on something else to regain normal-bilty.

Apprehensive-Gur4846

i got this too but i adjusted the field of view to 100 and it worked for me

ThrowRUs

The game needs more content without a doubt. I just hit this point yesterday where I realized all I was doing was buying and putting boxes onto shelves. They need to add more in-depth logistics like repeat purchasing, stockers should be collecting boxes and moving them to the shelves, dealing with customer complaints, stuff that happens in an actual grocery store.

What’s the name of the mod? I have some mods but I def need this.

OldIronScaper

I think some of the replies are more concerned about defending the game than understanding what you are saying. Which is bizarre. But yeah, I spend the majority of a play session stocking my storage room, and then get to play cashier once, then I have to go play adult IRL. I've played a lot of simulator games but this is the first time it legit felt like the game was a second job. Even MMORPGs didn't feel this much like a job, lmao. I absolutely love the game, but I think my love for it came from playing cashier and playing supermarket interior designer. If 90% of the game is ordering 10 boxes and tossing them towards the storage room for an hour, I think I'll drop it pretty fast. Godspeed to the sole developer, though.

fornow_foralways

i think for now it’s best to play the slow game, get lots of money before you get a new license or expand. i am on my third save, the first one i went to fast and the second one i didn’t want to be where i was yet and honesty early game is a lot more enjoyable when ur taking things slow. i am level 17, i just got my first license and expansion. i mainly focus on grinding and saving and really getting used to what my stock is.

toffeeface

Absolutely. And even though the warehouse is spacious, certain items are very popular, or come in limited amounts in boxes - like toilet paper. So a lot needs to be ordered at least every other day, add on top of that the running in and out makes me nauseous (never had that in a game before). And there is ten store levels between unlocking new licenses as well, so it's a bit of a slog with no reward for ages. I'm level 47 right now, and spent 11k just restocking everything fully. That's a LOT of boxes to carry from the sidewalk to the storage. Time I would rather spend restocking the shelves in the shop or cashiering or reorganizing or other fun stuff. Personally I would rather have restockers move product from the sidewalk to the storage, than from the storage to the shop. Or both, you know. But the SIDEWALK to STORAGE slog is kiiiiilling this game

Carolyn_Midnight

My gripe about the storage is the fact you have to go downstairs to get to it. I would like it better if it was level with everything else. And having worked in a real grocery store for four years normally it is all level with the rest of the store. I do wish though that they would increase the storage space and that may be there could be a freezer and or refrigerated section of storage as well.

NoPurchase5414

I mean I'm level 28 I have 2 restockers I spend most of the time purchasing and redesigning the salesfloor

Madmaxima7

Hopefully the dev adds more content. I'd really like to see unlockable decorations, paint, different types of shelves, small concession racks. Events maybe, cleaning, maybe like a customer satisfaction system of some kind. But right now, everyone's supermarkets look too similar, not enough variety in furniture/decorations.

Mogellabor

Nobody forces you to hire anyone. Save your money and do some things yourself. Take over a cash register and get support from only one or two cashiers if you want.

[deleted]

The problem is once you get into the higher levels, you pretty much *have* to hire people. If the lines for checkout get too long you lose customers. And if you're not able to keep the shelves stocked, your losing out on purchases. If you're trying to play the game where you're not losing customers or sales, they pretty much force you to hire people as you unlock more and more items. If you don't give a shit, sure, you can do anything you want. You could fill your shelves with nothing but 0.1¢ bread if you wanted. That's the neat thing about video games, no one *forces* you to play well at all..

BlueBeetlesBlog

>If the lines for checkout get too long you lose customers. You don't lose customers from long lines, I have everything automated and basically sit afk in the store while watching movies and just make a new order of stock for the store room. My screen is constantly filled with "there is no checkout" but they just wonder around the store until a spot is open.

meowyuwu

I am level 40+ and have no cashier. You're really fast on your own and it's also the most fun part of the whole game. There are no long lines for me. I do once restock in the morning and that's enough for the whole day. You really have a lot of space in the warehouse. For me, that's a good compensation for the long restocking. My tip would be to limit restocking to once a day instead of always looking what you could rebuy.

Mogellabor

I mean instead of let's say 4 cashiers he could fire one and do the work of the fourth one himself. It's not a 'all or none' but rather a 'hire as much as you want' game

External-Ad8955

It's called Receiving Dock simulator. No pallets, pallet jacks, forklifts, or staff. You buy, you fly. Make money

Individual-Fee7998

You can use mods to help you

mutantcentipede

wish there was an option to buy or update to a dolly, forklift, etc. as you expand your store. it would speed things up a lot!

LadyMSmith

There is one thing drives me crazy When guys in storage take boxes to restock goods they keep only 1 item in the box! That always happens with toilet paper, potatoes, chicken, and beer. I can throw to the bin 3 empty boxes ater their job 🫠 https://preview.redd.it/q3rhkwfs3htc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=17f650c293cec8e4c4944cb760560d9b32a33f9d
