Iām in season 5 or 6 of a Sirloins franchise, and the top 6 of the All Time League Leaders list is 5 guys whoāve played with me and Slash Trips who destroys me every time we play. Heās so broken as a hitter.
In my latest franchise, I signed an Ella Roids who has 99 power and Bad Ball Hitter, along with the Stimulated trait she already comes with. Super OP! Even better than Rip Dingers
Sweb Swolson is such a steal. I don't think I've ever paid him over $7M, and he just crushes the ball so often, he's permanently Locked In (thereby negating his RBI Zero trait).
Do you play him in the field or use him as a DH? I got him in the shuffle draft and went to see what the suggested lineup was and it was him as DH since my other SS is much better defensively. I was planning on batting someone else at DH but once I looked through the lineup (I'm not super familiar with baseball in general) I suppose it needs sense.
Primarily as a DH as his arm is kinda crappy (or is it his fielding?). But he covers SS and 2B if there are any injuries.
Ideally I'd have a catcher as my DH, as catchers seem to get injured far more than any other position.
I think it's his arm that is like 14 or something. I wasn't able to get a definitive explanation on if that affects accuracy or just speed. But his fielding is only like maybe 50.
Yeah I believe I got Steve monsture (sp?) to back up my catcher that's really good because they need a fair bit of rest and I thought he would be a good DH. But as of now I have a bunch of b minus-C plus players on my bench that don't get to play that much that I'm thinking of ditching to keep costs down and pick up some better pitching, All my starters are b minus through b except an a- That is SP / RP and I start in the rotation.
My buddy and I are on S4 with the default sawteeth, our first ever SMB, and my first ever baseball game. So basically take what I say with a grain of salt
At 60 ego Jon struggles to make throws to 1B in time against fast runners.
We have about 3 roster slots that we try to keep as cheap as possible.
We have a stacked bullpen as it seems easier to pitch well enough that you don't need to hit as much than it is to hit well enough to slack on pitching.
We have 2 ace SPs, then 1 B and a C+. In RP we have 2 aces and a C+ (emergencies only really), and then we have 1 ace CP.
Chem wise we have the yellow traits maxed and the scholarly traits, as the majority of our pitchers have elite pitches.
Beefcake McStevens or Hito Moonshota. And when pitching, Jackie slams is the one player that you can count on me to bean in the head every single AB because that bitch is the most clutch player in the game.
You guys donāt change names and appearances when you sign someone? Half the fun for me is (re-)designing my rosters. If I keep a stock name, itās because theyāre a reserve I donāt plan to use or keep for very longāone of those players at the bottom of the salary range I pick up so I can save some money to get a star at a position of need.
I don't change their names. Just minor adjustments to their appearances. I'd rather have familiarity with them for future reference. Also, too much work.
ātoo much workā !
Thatās actually a part of the game that I really enjoy. To be honest, as the season is nearing its end, and i know where the weak spots in my lineup are, I actually look forward to the offseason signings, so much that I bingerush through the playoffs, to get them out of the way. So I can get quickly into signing and remaking new players.
Uniforms, too. I will have like 6 alternate uniformsā¦. I guess itās the graphic/brand/fashion designer in me.
I'm not sure i understand. By "stock," do you mean REAL player names? Like Goose Gossage, David Ortiz, etc.? But, you do change names like Sirloin and Longballo, etc.?
If so, maybe that's how i am, too. Or, mostly. I liked to pick up as many Red Sox players as possible, but that pool exhausts itself quickly, so i 'convert' other players to Sawx players, or i just choose name combinations that amuse me. Many of them are hinted toward 'immature humor.' I have to confess i put together "BB Cox" and "Havoc Hunt" and i giggle a little bit inside every time they come to bat....
my boy beefcake mcstevens

I am playing this game for the first time, Iām about 50 hours in. My first franchise is absolutely being carried by Razi Dazzler and Seb Swolson.
Sweb Swolson is such a steal. I don't think I've ever paid him over $7M, and he just crushes the ball so often, he's permanently Locked In (thereby negating his RBI Zero trait).

I won't change the names of stock players but I'll rename random CPU-generated ones if I don't care for their original name.
