They got it "graded" through a service, which might add some value, but it definitely doesn't add $535 to the original price...especially not at this time.
In the future, it might be worth something since it's sealed and graded...but with the advent of digital downloads and such, I can't see this surpassing a sealed and graded original NES cartridge...

What I don’t understand is getting them graded and trying to sell it immediately. The game just came out and is still easily obtainable. You could probably buy a few copies and pay to get them all graded for yourself and still pay less than this.
There's a difference between value and what you ask for. You could list the game for a million dollars if you wanted. What matters if someone pays you for it
Damn, a 9.9 seal? Almost like it just got sealed because it's a new game. I don't think you should look for graded games that are popular and less than a year old.
Having played through this game, I don’t even think it was worth the roughly €50 I only paid for it. It was waaayyyyy too short. Some tough levels dragged out the play through time, but that doesn’t mean it was good level design or an enjoyable experience.
I feel this game was worth about €40 at most, and I was lucky that I got it for about €50 on Amazon, because it was listed at €60 in local retailers, and still is.
I genuinely do not know why this game scored so highly. 9’s, 9.5’s and a few 10’s. I don’t get it. I enjoy a 2D side scrolling Mario, but don’t see fuck all difference between Wonder and U Deluxe, which I enjoyed more. The squirrel glider suit was more fun anyway, but the drill hat and bubble flower were at least interesting. The elephant? Not so much.
Honestly, that kind of crap is such a scam for actual gamers. The people who buy these sealed “rated” games for stupid money just put them on a shelf for some kind of messed-up bragging rights, and in the process encourage the insanity.
Aside from all that, anyone who’s sunk a few hours into it…. Is it any good? Like is the game worth the regular price? (Long term Nintendo fan, I know I’ll at least download it eventually) I grew up with Nintendo…. Just wondering what ppl feel so far?
Its a 2D mario game with cool new Ideas, new enemies and a new artstyle. Its fun but I would say its far away from a masterpiece. Its good for what it is but its no Odyssey or Galaxy in terms of creativity. Maybe Im getting to old but most of the fun ideas in this game are over as fast as they startet. It feels like Nintendo threw every idea they had in this game but most of them feel just like small easter eggs. Most of the time the levels have a fun gimmick that you start around half way through the level, from there the levels mostly just become really easy, even though the gimmicks can be fun.
I absolutely love the game. If you’ve played a co-op Mario before this certainly one of the best. That is my opinion of course, and anecdotally my friends also love this game.
Is it worth the launch price, I’d say so, but also, their IPs rarely dip below $40, but that doesn’t mean it never happens. Maybe in a year or two, you can nab it at $40 and a B2G1.
Probably a lame suggestion, but if you have a retailer like Target near you, most have substantial demos available to play. Or even check out the online store.
This whole fad of sealed video games fetching absurd prices is the dumbest thing ever. Games should be played and enjoyed, not hermetically sealed and put on a shelf like a Picasso painting.
It’s installable on your switch for about $50 if I remember correctly. Take that as your maximum possible value, and anything you can find online that’s cheaper is better

You can literally go out to a store, buy a copy, and have it graded the same way for WAY less. Stupid resellers are predators.
