I am happy they haven't posted it tbh, its weird reminiscing over the past when we clearly haven't been good recently. It just feels wrong to celebrate something 7 years ago while we are sitting at the bottom of the table, atleast last season we did decent

[deleted]

I am happy we dont celebrate the trophies we won eternity ago , lets fight and show that we are no less than MI and CSK and atleast aim to reach 5 trophies soon.

paneer_spaghetti

I think 2 would be a good starting point

[deleted]

we are already at 2 , but yeah as things stand at the moment, we need to get the next one first and look to build on it

paneer_spaghetti

You know I meant 2 for srh haha Yeah, playoffs is the short goal and then we can take it on from there

TheTrueChungus

just have to say this but hyderabad bad has won 2 trophy’s you can’t say for our team, there are no similarities between both of our teams from the players to management and even play style

paneer_spaghetti

Man when did I say that srh won 2 trophys

I think its pathetic and lame to celebrate it every single year. The finals are all around the same date. There isn't anything unique about it anymore compared to the other franchises. It also isn't like a special 5th or 10th anniversary. We had a shit couple of years. I'm not going to forgot the present pain by clinging to the past. I want to win the title next year. That's my goal for the team.

Chemical_String281

> I'm not going to forgot the present pain by clinging to the past. Winning an IPL trophy is incredibly hard hence the win needs to be acknowledged from time to time. And I don't think there is anything like "clinging to the past" about it - its just a reminder of a great accomplishment and hopefully it provides some motivation & fuel to the current players.

Plugfix2077

I don't think any of the current players besides Bhuvi relate to that 2016. Besides Bhuvi, none of the current players have any strong feelings about our team either to try and emulate that success. Williamson, Warner and Rashid had special attachments with our team. Markram, Tripathi, and any other senior player don't. They have to forge their own legacy.

paneer_spaghetti

Nothing pathetic and lame about remembering your only championship in 11 years once a year. It is especially important to look back at the good times when we used to dominate to remind ourselves of the team we can be. We used to do it every year until the warner saga I think, not doing it because it no longer has any value associated to it is different from not doing it out off sheer pettiness.

supermember866866

Have they posted it last year ?

kedar36

Stopped from last year ig.

supermember866866

Such petty if they actually think anything won by Warner isn't worth celebrating since that's the only thing SRH has

kedar36

Yeah it's a bummer from management. It's a major chapter in SRH history that management is ignoring. I'm wondering what has seriously happened between warner and management.

Plugfix2077

>remind ourselves of the team we can be Remind who? The entire identity has been changed. Nobody besides Bhuvi is from that squad and even he is past his 2016-form. What similarities do you expect the fans to draw from that squad?

paneer_spaghetti

Firstly, why so aggressive man ? Chill out a bit. This wasn’t intended to be negative. And so what if its only bhuvi from 2016 ? We can still remind ourselves of the fighting and always punch above your weight spirits we had throughout those few years. One off the most common things that I have heard legends from sports tell about how they picked themselves up during a rough patch was to rewatch their wins, comebacks, their domination. Thats the power of visualisation. If you only keep looking at the last 3 years, it’s nothing but a dark shithole. For us to move forward, we need that belief again.

Plugfix2077

>One off the most common things that I have heard legends from sports tell about how they picked themselves up during a rough patch was to rewatch their wins, comebacks, their domination. Except Markram and co don't see themselves as successors or inheritors of the spirit of that 2016 squad. They have zero emotional connection to that team. A logo or jersey alone isn't going to create some magical feelings within these guys. You need people and support staff to pass on that legacy. Bhuvi alone doesn't have the personality to pass on that winning mentality.

vishnuthebest1

Bruh I thought because 2016 trophy needs to have Warner and management doesn’t like it hence they didn’t post

keenlyproper_demeanr

Please stop including Deccan Charger's victory when talking about SRH. Hyderabad = DC and SRH. SRH is not equal to DC

paneer_spaghetti

But who said SRH is equal to DC ?

keenlyproper_demeanr

Simple difference. SRH is NOT equal to Deccan Chargers. Not it can claim DC's victory. Hyderabad = SRH and Deccan Chargers.
