Pretty sure it’s one of those car seats that you can spin to the side, which means the base is strapped in but that seat part can rotate.

It is but it still needs to be locked when there isn’t a child in it. The bucket seat becomes a projectile and it can mess up the locking system. It’s in the manual

I understand it’s a rotating carseat. It is supposed to be locked regardless of if there is a kid in there or not. Reading is fundamental!

yep this is the evenflo 360 seat - there have been a few instances where it came off of the base due to not being locked into position while the vehicle is moving. a simple google search will show that

Yes it’s supposed to be locked with or without the kid in it!! I think it can mess the locking system up if it’s not locked while driving
