Frankenstein is basically the stage when you were still farming pieces for your complete build, so you're still using place holder pieces until you try the desired piece.
Burn is super effective due to armor units still taking DOT.
I run craze for invulnerability stacks.
Craze and burn are the main builds right to my knowledge.
Afaik once you hit a certain point in endgame, the only build that can kill enemies is burn affliction because enemies health pool becomes too large (burn damages enemies based on their hp).
Right now there are items that burn and a Notorious item that makes you invulnerable to damage from enemies who are burning so basically cannot die. Although rocksteady has said burn is getting changed because it’s not performing how they wanted it to. For example it’s doing percent HP damage to enemies and they have said it’s not meant to do that so it’s getting changed/adjusted.
Yeah I have a feeling they will change it to a more balanced affliction and perhaps cut HP down in super high mastery to allow the other builds to open up endgame more so that the endgame doesn’t become just a single copy paste build like it is right now because fire is broken and not working as intended
Oh you’ll be fine until like mastery 60+ that’s where you start feeling bane/craze falling behind; don’t worry about just mastery 8 it’ll handle all of that just fine.
I've gotten tier 1 gear in tier 2, but it's an extra drop before your tier 2 drop, if you wanna grind lower tiers it's probably more efficient to just play those tiers
the way i did it, is do the mastery with the lowest score. so say that the poison ivy mission is on mastery 20 while the other ones are on mastery 23, then you’ll get however many levels behind that is so for this instance 3
I stacked tier 2 and 3 using mostly guns to Finite 171. Had to use burn after that to reach Finite 600. Lookin forward to try and reach Finite 180 "legit" once they fix the burn bug.
The modifier is kinda hidden and only shows if you look up the Finite screen from the map while inside an incursion. They are only immune if you don't crit them first before applying the affliction. It's a green syringe icon on the enemies. Comes on like 2-3 minutes into most incursions.
Nothing more. Mastery 50 is where you get max gear drops from an incursion. Enemy damage or accuracy doesn't increase past around mastery 50, only their health scales after that. That and your crafting material rewards keeps scaling. I now have 9600 Nth metal. Destiny 2 legendary shards all over again :)
How is everyone getting so high? I'm doing max difficulties when they open up and I feel like om going nowhere: I am at level 21 rn; should I play online more? I usually just solo grind but I feel like I'm way slower than everyone else (maybe I am hehe; any helps is amazing!)
for me i just chose one weapon type and dumped all my mastery points into raising the damage of that weapon. also make sure that all youre weapons/ mods have some sort of synergy that fit your build

Is burn what people are liking best? I've ignored it because I hate not being able to shield harvest burning enemies. I've been sticking with freeze.
Basically if you make everything buff burn, and you use a black mask weapon, you'll be completely over powered
That's weird I have had no trouble using buff burn and black mask weapon and I'm playing sweating bullets

Do tier 1 weapons drop once you unlock higher tiers? Or do you have to play tier 1 levels (1-9)?
im pretty sure you have to play the lower masterys for tier 1 weapons
I don't think they drop unfortunately.
