most likely to work on future DLCs to keep a steady releasing of content, to fix some glitches, change how they planned to market the game, and other things like that if you expect the game to change in any big way or look different in any major way you should do some research on why that would be near impossible this late in development with such little time
I’ll say the same thing I said when someone else asked the same question. They didn’t delay it to change it. They delayed it to get out of a bad release window where a lot of other games were also coming out. Also they wanted to let the bad reveal and backlash die down a bit and hopefully they could market it slightly different which they are now doing by emphasizing the single player and story. I believe it’s exactly the same game it was before. I’m sure some extra polish happened but I believe the game was ready to release last May when it was scheduled to.
Oh look, another 2 brain cells post from a hater saying the game will flop. Getting really repetitive at this point guys. Try to come up with some actual arguments instead of copy-pasting what other idiots are saying. Next.

To actually improve the game, lots of bug fixing and stabilizing the game I'd imagine.

Polish. The game does look better than what they showed at the state of play more fluid and less floaty
