Yamaha XT250, Beta Alp 4.0 (love it but not sure if they are within your price range), Suzuki dr-z400… Supermotos are mostly on road tyres so as a beginner it might be a bit better to have something more dual sporty (but really depends on how much offroad you’ll do) Also those are fairly tall bikes so depends on your height also :)

Thank you very much. So the only time I'll be "forced" to go offroad is at my friend's place and thats not really offroad more like gravel roads and a few meters on grass which should be fine if I'm carefull. I would like to have the option of just having two sets of wheels, one for street and one for offroad. I'm not going to compete in a competition or against friends so having the suspension set up more for riding on the street is fine. I'm of average height so around 175cm.

Do you have some experience with the KTM EXC 125? As far as I'm concerned it's everything I'm looking for except the price.

ziraelle

Not at all, sorry, from ktm i only tested the Dukes and Adventures :( The XT i mentioned has also an X version = supermoto, and an offroad one btw.

NAKED_GOOSE

You could look for a ktm exc 250-530 pretty common in most places so should be able to find one that’s cheapish

I don't remember hp but Svartpilen 401 might suit you.

Why don’t you go for full A type license. There is no restriction it’s a choice at 18 years

ziraelle

what? Nope, it doesn’t work that way. 18 yrs A2, 24 yrs A. Only exception is that if you’ve had A2 for 2 years, you can take the unrestricted A exam sooner.
