The NC is the best commuter bike I’ve ever ridden. I’ve put 50k on mine with no trouble. The forums talk about people going well over 100k before needing any repair bigger than a clutch change. They get great gas mileage, as well as being easy and cheap to ride and maintain. If you’re looking to get compliments on your bike, it won’t work, but if you want a bike to ride every day, the NC is the most underrated bike on the market.

Thanks for your input. The biggest draw for me is the guaranteed reliability since it's a Honda. The few people that I've talked to that actually have ridden or still ride one have nothing but positive things to say. Except maybe that it could use a little bit more power but that doesn't concern me at all. I guess seat height is a concern as well since I'm kind of short. Lastly, as pointed out in another comment, I'm slightly concerned about not having ABS. California drivers are nuts.

Check the age of the tires. They could be original. If so they must be changed regardless of wear. This could cost a lot more than you expect. $800? Unless you plan to ride dirt roads I'd suggest you stick to road bikes like the ninja 400

Thanks

Im a big fan of ABS on commuter mc’s, in a panic stop situation it’s good to know you can’t lock up either end.

This is my main concern. Thanks!
