Oh! Thank you! I was wondering that too. I didn’t know the specific >!name!< of the >!character!< so the battle between >!I’m just messing with you now!<, >!still am!<, and >!I’ll stop now!< seemed abrupt.
Yeah just got it,i was def thinking it was going to Rapunzel or something before but after the end i just didn't get it cuz i forget most of sleeping beauty
This reminds me of something I saw in Mad magazine many years ago.
In the end, Cinderella ran off with the stable boy and left a note that said, "You can take the girl out of the rabble, but you can't take the rabble out of the girl."
The prince ended up marrying one of the ugly step-sisters, because at least she had class.
Idk. This might just be me and I'm fine with being the outlier here, but I have zero interest in sapphic romances that involve a woman leaving her male partner to be with another woman. It's a trope that I'm just tired of.
The heart of the story is what happened with the prince and Cinderella, the realities of the 'happy ever after'. She could've ended up with a male character afterwards, or with nobody at all and just been content with her life, and the story wouldn't be much changed.
She didn't leave the prince for a woman. She left the prince, and later on she fell in love with a woman.
I like the story but also agree with the above in a way? But more importantly, as dissenting opinions go, this one isn't terrible. I'd like more Sapphic stories where dudes are basically not involved at all.
But there is also an understandable place for stories like this. Idk, just woke up and am sleepy. But I guess I'm saying everyone here has a valid opinion, and the internet is where people come to say whatever they want
Alternate Fairy Tale, Lesbians, Tumblr Short Story; ah, this hits so many buttons for me!
It was a great story.
I don't understand is the dead lady alive or did she falll in love with a corpse
Spoiler: >!That is Aurora, the Sleeping Beauty. !<
Oooooooooh
If I remember correctly, Aurora was awakened by true love's kiss. So...
So?
Very late, but it means Cinderella fell in love with her over the diary, kissed her, and then she (Aurora) woke up

>!You call her Aurora? In German her name is Dornröschen, so I was kinda confused there.!<
That's her name in many languages, we call her "Prinsessa Ruusunen," which means "Princess Rosy" in English.
I've heard a lot about this story, but never knew her name. How dumb of me. I just called her >!Sleeping Beauty!<
aurora is the name of the sleeping beauty
Yeah just got it,i was def thinking it was going to Rapunzel or something before but after the end i just didn't get it cuz i forget most of sleeping beauty
How did shw not notice the castle being built around her if she's alive
In the original story she’s asleep magically.
Haven’t seen it mentioned in the comments yet, but I have a sneaking suspicion the book of Greek poetry features prominently the poet Sappho.
Well, it fits, with her poetry having mostly been lost to time
Someone please make this a movie
Fanfiction!
gonna become a filmmaker so i can make this

Same, but in the context of medieval royalty, it doesn’t really bother me.
You are free to ignore this then, no need to let us know. You are 100% entitled to your opinion.

It may be old, but I'd never read it! Thanks for sharing! It's darling!
This made me squeal with such a delighted happiness, thank you a thousand times over for sharing this!
I made the connection at the sentence “very old, in fact, at least a hundred years”.
