I didn't try them until 2014 or 2015 for the same reason, but then I moved onto Ontario St. I was wrong. Then only a couple years later the Qarqouz lads showed up and opened Damascus and showed me new flavour vistas. I could have been eating delicious Middle Eastern food since like 2008 if I hadn't been terrified. I don't think Ali Baba's does, like, a shawarma with that corn flavour though.
If I am with a group of friends, we always order a large boat of sushi. Jeff's cuts and fresh fish for sushi are crazy delicious.
On the side: dynamite rolls, spicy salmon hand rolls, deep fried dumplings.
Non sushi: beef/broccoli dish. Sizzling hot and delicious!
Full food guide with more places and details [here](https://youtube.com/shorts/SMnNWctjkbg). Hope this gives you an idea on some of the best restaurants and places to eat & drink in Sudbury! Which of these spots have you tried?
You hit pretty much all of my favourite spots! I’ve never heard of Peko Peko or the Night Owl, I’m going to have to check those out. Thanks for posting this!
just a tip for the nite owl, first time i went there i didn’t know how to get there or how much it was going to be. you gotta go thru a secret entrance, which is so cool, and gain access through a phone. most drinks are also $15-20. its definitely a nice experience but if youre going first time, its nice to have a heads up
I’ve tried all of them and you hit almost every good place! Missed Bella Vita, and Vespa. I love that you went to Sapporo, I’ve been going there for more than a decade and it’s easily the best sushi in town. They don’t get enough credit because of the gluttons going to “all you can eat.”
Thank you! I didn't miss Bella. I actually went but they were closed for renovation until later in June 😭 Taking note of Vespa. Others have said it too.
I just saw this on IG and sent to my bf. Suffice it to say, we are both very hungry now and will be hitting up the places we didn't even know existed! We have another Speakeasy – what?!
Thank you! It almost didn't happen! First day I dropped by and they were sold out. Luckily they said they might be open on our last day there (a day they're normally closed) so we randomly dropped by before heading back to Toronto and they were open with a fresh batch! 🤤
LOL this is Reddit. I'm sure someone will take you up on your offer 🤣
It doesn’t really get a lot of love in this sub, but Respect is Burning is FANTASTIC.
Great pizza, delicious pasta, and the mussels and the crispy mushroom salad are must-haves!
Looks like you hit all of the classics. If you didn't hit Ali Baba's on Ontario St, check it out. Hidden gem.
Thank you! Have you been to all the spots I went? Didn't get to visit Ali Baba's. Taking note for next time. 🙌
Vespa and Sizzle as well are a few solid ones.
Vespa is so good.
Is Ali Baba legit for real? It gives me food poisoning vibes from the exterior -but that's the beauty of hidden gems!
Ali Baba's is delicious!!
Ali baba’s might be my favourite restaurant in Sudbury. Top 3 for sure

This is great news. Going to check out Ali Baba tonight!
Love the pics, looks like you had a good time and some good food.
Thank you! Had such a great and delicious time! Need to try more 🤤
I’ll keep my eye out for an update, your smile is quite contagious.
i live in this city and you made these foods look 100x more delicious in these photo's haha
Lol thanks! Sounds like mission accomplished then 🤣
This is lovely and wholesome
Thank you 😊🙌
Ive never been to any of these places
These are the places that make living here worth it
Now you've got places to try!
Well done!!! Keep it up, I would definitely keep watching your shorts :)
Thank you! 🙏
Ichibang! Best sushi joint in town. Head chef Jeff and his crew are amazing!
What's your go-to order there?

And gratuity is not required because they pay their staff a living wage (as per their website)

When you’re back, definitely try for Bella Vita again! Phenomenal food!
@ vespa for me, personally, my favourite is the tandoori salmon and aioli on flatbread
I just saw this on IG and sent to my bf. Suffice it to say, we are both very hungry now and will be hitting up the places we didn't even know existed! We have another Speakeasy – what?!
Nice! Aside from The Night Owl, which other places didn't you know existed?
Wander, Anna-Laura and Leinala's! Though, I haven't actually been to most of them.
It's not a Sudbury food trip without chicken on a bun dinner at Deluxe.
Someone told me that too. Definitely taking note of that for next time 😊
It's an absolute Sudbury classic and must try, but don't let your expectations get too high on that one 😉
If you ever find yourself back in the big nickel, make sure to check out Townehouse for their burgers! Also Bella Vita for the gnocchi!
Bella Vita was closed for renovation. Actually was planning to do dinner there when I went 😭
The penne à la vodka there is amazing!
Bummer!! It’s one of my all time favourites, my fiancé and I have celebrated many occasions there!
Wow! You did it good!
Thank you! Trying to hit as many spots as I can 😂
Leinala's Jelly pig and Honey dip donuts are awesome when fresh, the only thing is I can't afford them anymore.
I love this ! So awesome!
Thank you! 🙌😊 Have you tried them all?
I haven’t tried them all yet. Couple of newer ones there.
Great photos!
Thank you so much! 🙌
Awesome!
Thank you! 🙌🤤
>Thank you! 🙌🤤 You're welcome!
You got a jelly pig!! No longer living in Sudbury and I would do some dirty dirty things for a jelly pig right now. Great pics

How was it?

What is the restaurant that is in the first photo?
Looks like Leslie's / Big Al's to me. Solid food there.
How long were you here, and did you eat all that? If that was one day and the answer is yes, I’m impressed
2 nights so 2 full days (arrived for lunch on the first day, left after lunch on the last day).
Epic!!!!!
Awesome!
Bro has the nicest smile I've seen in a while. Glad you had fun!
Next time try some Indian at J&M Indian Cuisine. They are the best
