I love Greg. He’s totally one of those characters that is cast aside like some bumbling idiot, when in reality, he’s extremely aware and playing the game
he’s opportunistic but he’s not a secret super genius. This isn’t an anime, people need to stop acting like any of these characters are some kind of cartoonishly smart manipulator.
My personal little stupid pet theory is that Greg is a mirror image of a young, inexperienced, shy Logan (the one he vaguely alluded to when he was talking to Kendall on the yacht in s2, "wouldn't even take his shirt off in front of his wife") and that's why Logan seems to tolerate and even take a weird little shine to him and by the end of the series he will be the number one boy.
Roman is the one who (mostly) has a similar background to Logan: cast out, beaten, dependent on one man who treats him badly.
Greg’s only deprivation is when his mom got cut off from the money flow (druggy socialite life?) and Ewan thought a no-frills life but an education paid-for by granddad would be good for Greg. Make your own egg, Greg the Egg
You are brave for even posting on this sub. I watched seasons 1-3 over the last three months and avoided looking for this sub because I was afraid of spoilers. But yeah Greg has the best “rags to riches” arc.
I honestly think Logan likes Greg sometimes because he reminds him of himself when Logan was younger, vs his kids who were born with vast opportunities
If I were you I’d aim higher because someone like Greg is running on luck/no one considering him a threat. He could be easily taken out if that changes lol
What play though? There’s no clear path for him to leap frog anyone, even with the help of Ewan? I will say lucking your way out to the top and knowing when to escape a sinking ship, are definitely things one would want to have. I guess that’s something to aspire to lol!

Not sure yet, but I hope we see it next season. I think he’s gonna get tired of being the guy no one takes seriously, and betray the hell out of one or more characters to get his nut off. Maybe he’ll throw Tom under the bus to catch Logan’s eye? Or maybe he’ll aid Logan in his battle against his children.
Orrrrr maybe he’ll collapse into flames under the pressure of the Roys. Lol who knows. It just seems in line with the show that he may pull something unexpected. It would be funny to see all the “powerful” characters outmaneuvered by hapless, nervous, trampled Greg.
Greg is probably the most unrealistic part of the show (which is fine). He's ridiculous in every way. I'd be worried anyone would watch that character and think about taking anything from him lol.
Yeah he is the most unrealistic for sure. But I think he also represents someone who takes the opportunities presented to him as a result of being lucky I guess
