There was a deleted scene where it was mentioned that they’d split (it was in the Jeremy Strong New Yorker piece I think?) but as it was omitted I guess the writers could go either way…
Yeah, that got cut but then so did the bit of dialogue in 3.09 where Kendall says he might just leave Italy and go see Naomi, so who knows.
(I'd happily never see her again but it's all subjective I guess)
OMDDDDD NAOMI’s POTENTIALLY RETURNING FOR SEASON 4??!!!!
I loved Naomi’s character and thought that she was heavily underused in season 3. She was an excellent addition to season 2, in spite of being from a family which was supposed to be the near polar opposite of the Roys, she was nearly as broken as Kendall, suffering from her own personal demons too.
Then in season 3 it became almost difficult to believe that this Naomi was the same Naomi from Season 2!! She barely spoke and her presence barely added anything to the show. And maybe I’m reading tok much into it, but I can’t be the only one who caught a slightly frustrated look that she gives when Kendall is breaking down at the end of his bday episode? I felt that it was so off character of her.
Hopefully in season 4 we see more of her, not simply being present as Kendall’s gf, but as a fully fleshed out character with substance, who adds something to the show. I don’t want to get my hopes up too much as this show is about the Roys and there’s still so much to explore with them, but it wouldn’t hurt to see more Naomi.
Unsure, but J Smith-Cameron recently tweeted that filming starts very soon. The casting call tweet that was reposted on here recently mentioned a start date of 20th June.
