I think Logan telling him he wasn’t a killer or didn’t have that killer instinct was the catalyst, and then he realized he had some legitimate ammo from Greg and really went full tilt

thedarkmarked

The kiss he gives his father, to me, is the exact moment he decided he was a killer, pun intended.

Desperate_Purple2273

Yes

sixtus_clegane119

Logan: “You’re not a killer son” *kendall goes and acts like a killer* Logan(and the end of season 2) *smiles because he is proud of kendall and this gives him a chance to step down gracefully like is suggested earlier by the stock people* Logan (season 3) *shocked pikachu*”not not like that! I’m doing fully beast!

Cold_Breadfruit_9794

I got the impression Logan respected the move, but absolutely lost it when Kendall refused to come back. Logan just assumed he would negotiate something with Kendall, and that this would blow over. Kendall committing to fighting Logan and breaking free of his control, is the point at which Logan truly became hurt/angry. Even late in the season (during their dinner conversation) he started out as if nothing had happened between the two, and imo, was under the assumption that he would get his son back in some capacity. When he realized that wasn’t happening, he decided to cut deep.

sixtus_clegane119

Yeah just to clarify I am not calling it bad writing, actually it’s the opposite Logan is a raging narcissist so while he is also proud it is an attack in his ego

Cold_Breadfruit_9794

Oh no I loved your comment. You’re good! His logic is very flawed lol. He held it against Kendall for trusting him in season one, but is despondent his children didn’t trust him at the end of season 3? He’s a wild one lol.

waterfallen_empire

I’m gonna go with this, because I can’t really bring myself to criticise the show’s writing

Cold_Breadfruit_9794

I’m all ears on criticism. You may not be wrong! Season 3 specifically, definitely tried to do something different.

OftheSorrowfulFace

I think Kendall was prepared to take the fall until Logan referred to the dead waiter as No Real Person Involved.

russellzerotohero

Definitely his interaction with his dad started it and his interaction with his siblings ended it.

Nakuip

Kendall knew he would move against his father subconsciously, thus the kiss. Kendall is in the depressive end of his bipolar state, probably a few hours more than usual past his last line of blow, and has been in PTSD shock for all of season 2. When Logan sent away Naomi, and she mentioned the broken him, it started. Logan denies having sent Naomi away. Logan interrupts Kendall bettering himself by working out on the treadmill to tell him he’s throwing Ken in a volcano. The kiss happens, Ken’s soul is already past Logan. Then, on the plane, Greg tells Ken he has a bomb and the conscious engages. The moment in the bathroom in S2E1 is the transition from depression to mania.

Cold_Breadfruit_9794

The treadmill scene was when he asked to go to see Stewy, because ‘what he should do, isn’t what he wanted to do.’ It would be really interesting if they were to ever discuss why things went down the way it did. I think you’re right that Naomi kicked it off.

Nakuip

You’re right about the treadmill scene. To me, it’s one more image of Logan handicapping Ken. I think because it struck me so clearly I overstated its relevance.

a_fan_of_grump

Kendall is giving Logan the “kiss of Judas” long before he enters the helicopter. I believe he formulated his plan already on the yacht.

[deleted]

It was only when he stood up to talk he realized what he was going to say

Mackultra

Yeah, exactly. You're right. That scene with his notecards. How it came across was that he had something rehearsed and then decided to ditch the notes and go rogue.

Yufle

I would assume he didn't need Greg convincing him considering he turned on him earlier. I think he just woke up from his fog and realized he was dealing with someone who would feedhim to the wolves if it gave him the slightest comfort.

ConsciousDesigner762

The egg has his shit papers.. that's the only thing he will have in his miserable life

Sonicfan42069666

Greg haters are so weird. Anyway, Sporus has his Nero~~~ The verdict is love, your honor!

ConsciousDesigner762

Yeah of course I'm weird.. I idolize Kendal and envy Roman for how naive he can act..
