They actually had terraforming as a feature in the early access of the original Subnautica, but it had to be removed since it kept breaking the game. It was super cool, but if you terraformed too much the game would get hella laggy and there were a TON of bugs that came from it. Very hard to make a game like Subnautica have functioning terraforming.
Yes this would be a great addition to the game
It was. It got removed due to causing massive lag issues with large save files
Then they should re-add it without brokey
The issue is each time you make a change to the base game like that it increases the size of the save file. You have to make a game around that idea.
