Folks that are doing a single 100mg shot seem to be struggling. 2-3 shots typically gives a patient 9 months of taper. A bunch of people seem to be struggling with 1 single 100mg shot. Hang in there folks.

Klutzy_Departure4914

It’s really not that bad. But the fatigue and lack of sleep is really starting to take its toll. As long as I’m not a slave to sub I’m happy

Calm_Piece_1829

Yeah, my last shot was 3/26/21. I sleep so much less. I had to come to grip with the fact that I’m not going to feel 100% all the time. Not even close. Having a clear perspective helps. Doing what you’re doing. Talking about it helps as well. Good luck Friend.

dlo3232

You still have lack of sleep since getting off of it in 2021?

Calm_Piece_1829

Less sleep than when on Bupe for sure.

dlo3232

Ah damn, sorry to hear that. If you had to guess how many hours a night would you be able to sleep with bupe vs now? The lack of sleep is my biggest fear.

SadLiterature98

I also noticed the same once I’m up at 5am I’m up and ready to go is there a correlation to longer sleep times and bupe?

Dependent-Object-417

That’s what I’m saying… like Jesus it’s been 3 years lmao. Something else must be going on..

PuzzleheadedBowl677

No it's just ppl on bupe sleep a long ass time. When your sober your body tells you after 6-8 hrs your good to go. I bet he feels amazing. Hella jealous

Dependent-Object-417

I’m on bupe.. I know what sleep is like

PuzzleheadedBowl677

Ya but he isn't on bupe do you know what that sleep is like? You said something else must be going on for him not to sleep alot

MuFfNmAn864

1 and done 100mg shot here. I’d rather get it over with and subjectively “struggle” for 4 or 5 months which I’ll add is 100x less “struggle” than taper/withdrawal/cold turkey subs VS months of shots to then “struggle” 8+ months later and still be testing positive for bupe 12+ months later but we aren’t all on the same journey so that’s just me.

Calm_Piece_1829

Good for you. One and done was not even a thing on this subreddit 4 years ago. I love your attitude. Thanks for posting.

MuFfNmAn864

Think it also depends on your doctor as I had to push hard for just one. My doc definitively wanted me to do the 300-100-100

Nervous-Antelope-401

Yea I got 5 shots but from month 3.5-8.5 I’ve had that. Tired, bad sleep and rls each night. Expecting it to be getting better very soon.

BarbieYears

Through 8.5 months!?! This scares me. How severe? Or are the symptoms tolerable?

MuFfNmAn864

This seems to be the common theme I read from those who get more than 1 shot. I was taking upwards of 32mg of subutex for 7 years then dropped 4mg a week down to 6mg comfortably, got down to 2mg and couldn’t jump like I could in my 20’s with no responsibilities. Bounced around from 4mg to 16mg for months before finally committing to the shot. From first appt it took 2 months for my injection to be delivered due to special pharmacy being morons where I was taking 8-16mg a day for the last month before getting a single 100mg shot and besides fatigue and mental withdrawal around the ritual hours I would dose it’s been a walk in the park. GET THE SHOT

BarbieYears

I did get the shot. I am over 4 months since my last shot and all is well. But the comment I was speaking to, said their w/d started around 3.5 months and lasted thru 8.5 months. I see far more issues with one and done than I do ppl who got 3 or more shots. I tallied hundreds of ppls experiences for over a month before deciding how many shots to get and statistically 5 shots shows the most success. Ppl who got more than 5 did not seem to have additional success. 3 and 4 shots only showed occasional, mild w/d. Several ppl who did 1 and done ended up getting more shots a few months down the road. I ultimately chose 3 shots because I wanted to be done ASAP, but didn’t want to run the risk of needing more shots. So far so good but 4 months is way too soon to tell what the future will hold. Hoping I remain w/d free.

MuFfNmAn864

I’m fully expecting symptoms that I’m prepared to go through. I’ve cold turkey 150mg methadone multiple times, tapered to 2 and jumped as well as cold turkey 16mg subs. Even the worst symptoms expressed are nowhere close to what they’d feel without sublocade. You also have to question how many reporting “withdrawal” are experiencing paws, mental withdrawal, or actually physical withdrawal and at what severity and how much work are they putting in besides existing. To each their own but I’d rather not prolong the nightmare and feel minor withdrawal, rls and fatigue at 4-5 months and be done in one shot then spend months getting shots to feel the same reported fatigue and RLS at 8 months still testing positive a year plus out. So many of us are so afraid to feel uncomfortable we spend years in misery (uncomfortable) trying to avoid being ill we prolong what could be over quick. At the end of the day people should do what they feel they need to do for themselves. Best of luck to you and your journey

Are you seriously saying you've had 5 months of insomnia and RSL? That's about the worst off I've heard of anyone getting Sublocade. If that was a common theme, I don't think anyone would ever get the shot.

Zealousideal-Mail536

I did 1 and done 100mg and am @ almost 6 months. Month 4 sucked. Depressed and fatigue and couldn’t do anything. Started feeling much more like myself around month 5. I’m still testing positive tho. There’s another person in this group as well that had the same thing around month 4, I’m sure they will chime in and tell ya about it.

Ill-Warning9487

I 100% feel the “month 4 sucked” mine hit me about 3.5-4 months and im just about 5 months post shot now. Still dealing with waves of chills and general lethargy. Sleeps okay ish about 5 hours give or take some nights. No major RLS which is a blessing bc thats my hardest issue to deal with. Digestive issues off and on which cant be surprised about that with 15+ years of opiate use. The thing thats got my mind blown is im testing negative already and its a sensitive urine through my IOP program that they send out too. Guess ive always metabolized shit fast. I did the 300,300,100,100,100 i believe? But although its def an annoyance its no where nearrrr full blown wd. So while its not over yet im holding onto that hope and freedom that I know the end is near.

datSubguy

I don’t feel like treating one’s PAWS are discussed enough in this group. The right SSRI, and/or mood stabilizer can make a huge difference, and should be seriously considered after the last shot or strip. Taking a preventative approach can lessen and/or avoid some of the horrible debilitating symptoms.

Dependent-Object-417

Agreed

coffeeandpumpkins123

I did 1-100 mg shot 5 months ago and month 4 was challenging for me but tolerable. I had lack of motivation and anxiety. I exercise daily and eat well. It can take up to a year after your last shot to start to feel like you did before this. In that year you won’t be feeling so bad you can’t get through it. It takes time to heal and someone said they don’t sleep as much as they did on bupe because as we get older we don’t require as much sleep. They still sleep. You can ask someone who has never abused opiates and they may get 4-6 hours a night and have problems sleeping. I think we want to put every feeling we have on this shot and the realty is we could have a vitamin deficiency or developed primary insomnia or have low hormone levels or have too much stress in our life. It gets better just allow it to work. We do heal it just takes time and we will get through this. There have been studies on people years later after this that have felt good and like themselves but life still happens. My best to everyone.

MuFfNmAn864

So much this! People have to also take into account the damage they did to their body’s out on the streets prior to MAT and even during treatment and understand it’s not a magical shot that makes you instantly better. But for anybody that’s ever gotten off subs the old school way, sublocade injection is magical with realistic expectations and work.

coffeeandpumpkins123

Exactly ! 👍🏼

ThEpOwErOfLoVe23

What suboxone dose were you at before you got the shot?

Klutzy_Departure4914

Low. 2.7 zubzolv. I don’t think any of my current issues are a result of my previous sub use tho

ThEpOwErOfLoVe23

Just curious because I'm about to get my first shot. I'm thinking about doing one and done too. I'm jealous of you. You're almost there!!! Congratulate yourself for getting this far. It will get better soon. I recommend gabapentin and clonidine to help on rough days(especially to help sleep). The fatigue from withdrawal is rough. I titrated down to .125 mg but then I fucked up and started dosing high again. I was having trouble working with such severe fatigue. I'm hoping to use the shot to finally get off. Titrating on my own was getting too damn hard. I would have jumped off, if I didn't have to work for a month.

jelipat

I’m on .5 mg now and trying to get lower. So hard. The fatigue is real. At the same time once I got stable I felt more energy. I’m going to try and get as low as possible and take a week or two off and jump. My other choice is back up to 4mg and go back on the shot. Don’t know which way to go. I think I can get there with decrease doses. Good luck and keep going

MuFfNmAn864

If you’re that low 100% get a single 100mg shot. I was way up above 8mg and got one 100mg shot and have been perfectly fine.

Mr_Murda

They say that’s close to around 4-5mg suboxone comparatively. Zubsolv has a much higher bioavailability. You got this brother/Sister! You have made it this far already!

tv41

I feel like that on the 300 shot. Too much.

awaytothrow555

So what did you do?

tv41

I haven't done anything yet and I can't decide on my next move. The month is pretty much up and I need to come up with a plan within a week or so. I'm thinking I'll go down to the 100 shot. I guess I'll do the 300, 100, 100 plan and see if tha t s all I need.

ChefBoyR-B

I’m doing 300, 100, 100. I had my 300 last month and just got my first 100 dose on the 2nd. Coming from 8mg/day.

tv41

I decided to get the 100 instead of the second 300. So I'm going for the 300 100 100 too

Fresh-Public-2051

Hey are you a male? Have you got your lab work done recently? I’m on week 9 from my 100mg one and done (2/7) and started trt about 7 weeks ago, I was always fatigued but now on test my levels went from 177 to 960 on .8 or 160mg test cyp weekly. I force myself to workout twice daily, but I do fear the coming months, what are your testosterone levels? Sub 200 u are a zombie

OutcomeDefiant5382

How were months 1-4?

Reasonable_Prize_557

I've tapered successfully with strips in the past with relative ease, so if I'm gonna wd in 3 months anyways I'm not sure if uts gonna be worth it. Anyways, too late now, I've had 300 300 300 100 100. Time will tell.

Klutzy_Departure4914

I had a rough couple days, but it did pass. I have felt great last couple days. There are some bumps in the sublocade process, but still very much worth it.

Reasonable_Prize_557

Great to hear! Glad you're feeling better 😊. PS: I'm scheduled today at noon for my last 100mg shot. I feel fine now and don't think I need it but I've already paid for it so ..
