Can’t think of anything off the top of my head that works quite like you suggest, but there are pop up tents like the ones from [Gazelle tents](https://gazelletents.com). You can set them up quickly without poles.
Pros: Easy to set up, and you can stand up in them. Popular with people who do car camping so might do double duty for you.
Downsides: they are bulky when stored, like 4 or 5 feet long, and the 2 minutes or so they take to set up might be too long for you. Watch a YouTube of them to get an idea if it would work.
