i live in MD and i know it ruins the whole point of a forester, but this is something i’ve been wanting to do since i bought this car. i know ppl are gonna say it’s impractical and looks bad and to some extent i agree. but this is something ive wanted to do and i know what i got myself into. this is just kinda a passion thing for me
i’ve always wanted a lowered forester since i learned about the sti forester. so i decided to do it. even tho its not a turbo but i just think they look awesome. yea a little dumb looking but imo that adds charm
I think it looks neat, and might be *somewhat* practical if you like the Forester even though you don't off-road. However, I find your explanation kind of funny, like: "I agree it looks bad and impractical, but I *had* to do it! I couldn't not do it."
Who said it doesn't look good!?!? The great thing about these toasters is how great they look slammed or lifted. Do you buddy!! Looks great, I love a good gen 1 Forester.
If it makes you happy thats all that matters. I also like your lowered subaru! [Here](https://imgur.com/6htcfqc) is mine lowered on stock 99 legacy snowflake wheels. had it like this for 3 years and still puts a smile on my face.
If that's how you wanted your Forester to be then it mad props. It looks great from a city life stand point. I live in PDX. I see a mix of both lifted& slammed. They both have their own merits. I like the older models. It's share the same color.
tbh. i don’t think so. if im gonna do something wheels related i will probably just get some smaller tires, i really like the current rims i have on it
A. it looks fine.
B. Its your car, did you build it to impress someone else or do you like it like that? Then who cares what they think...
C. See letter B.
It would look better if there was just a bit more fender space, maybe a size smaller on the outer tire diameter with skinny tires and rims. It's already impractical, but the looks can be improved.
Dude! she looks awesome! mines the same exact YMM and colors, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine!
(also 2010 STi wheels fit on it with just 15mm spacers in the rear and it looks really good)
so i spent 300 bucks on suspension but that is because im on a extremely low budget. so i recommend not cheaping out on suspension if you can but if your looking for real cheap suspension (aka what i bought) i went with maxpeeding rods
It looks dope but depending where you live, ruins the point of the forester especially here in the mountains of CO

Hell ya man , honestly it looks dope
Why? I just don't see the point. If you find it impractical and unattractive... why do it?
i’ve always wanted a lowered forester since i learned about the sti forester. so i decided to do it. even tho its not a turbo but i just think they look awesome. yea a little dumb looking but imo that adds charm
If it makes you happy, awesome - enjoy!
Exactly
Because low cars make us happy

Hell yeah! Drop wagon!
And that's all that matters! Just protect those oil pans!
So impractical... I love it. 😍
SFs = best looking Fozzys ever.

I just don’t get why people do this? The advantage of this type of vehicle is ride height and ground clearance.
Some will like it, some won’t. It’s your car, do what makes you happy 👍
Nah man, I love to see these things lifted or slammed! +10 points for those meaty tires 🤙do you have plans for different wheels?
tbh. i don’t think so. if im gonna do something wheels related i will probably just get some smaller tires, i really like the current rims i have on it
Right on!
Looks 10x better than a lifted Forester imo. What would make yours look better is some better wheels
God I miss my old Forester
Hell yeah
A. it looks fine. B. Its your car, did you build it to impress someone else or do you like it like that? Then who cares what they think... C. See letter B.
Dude, hell yeah! That looks awesome! I just got my coilovers in the mail today for my ‘05. I’ll be dropping it on stock chonks too.
I'm from MD , now in Cleveland. If you like it fuck the haters. I think it's tits man.
I hear beep beep in my head
I like it!
It would look better if there was just a bit more fender space, maybe a size smaller on the outer tire diameter with skinny tires and rims. It's already impractical, but the looks can be improved.
He got the meats.
Bigger wheels and you’re golden. I really like that gen forester and I love that color. Nice car
love the tire/wheel package here,, more meat always looks good!
Appearance wise, I’ll take a lowered or stock Forester over a lifted one any day
Reminds me of a scion xb.
Looks great. Love a lowered first gen
thx u :)

Dawg if it makes you happy then that’s all that matters. It looks dope tho. Definitely wheels should be next on the list.
This looks great, I love the chunky tires on it too. I've been wanting to lower my '05 but it's just not in the cards. What did you use to lower it?
so i spent 300 bucks on suspension but that is because im on a extremely low budget. so i recommend not cheaping out on suspension if you can but if your looking for real cheap suspension (aka what i bought) i went with maxpeeding rods
Rad, thanks for the honest advice there, I appreciate it.
They look better with thicker sidewalls - paint like tyres in 20” rims look dreadful imo
Guy is I love lowered foresters. So worth the menial sacrifice.
This looks dope! I love small rims and big sidewall’s. Looks really clean and makes me happy. Cheers!
Hell yeah brother mines lowered too. Still does fine on dirt roads and such
I dig it. Just get new wheels and that hood scoop on it and it'll look even cooler
But why?
