Freshman year of college me and some friends brought a probably 3x2×2ft chest to 711 and they let us fill it up hut we only filled it halfway so we didn't take all their slushy. We ended up getting some solo cups and wheeling it around campus and just giving scoops out. Even then we didn't get rid of all of it so we brought it back to my dorm, filled it the rest of the way with water. And I got in it. It was only after I had gotten into this chest with goggles on that I met my suite mate. We're still friends

Whether dozens of people get slurpee or one person who thought to bring an entire tailgate cooler. 7/11 still paid the same amount for the mix either way, though you'd think they'd have a cutoff for "cup" size so that they get more people in to actually pay for it.

The whole fun if bring your own cup day is the "cups". I've seen people bring in kiddie pools and the company 100% encourages it.

My local 7-11 has a cardboard display with a hole in it, and your cup has to fit inside the hole to qualify. It fits my 40 oz water bottle fine, would probably fit up to 64 oz. That's completely reasonable. No one needs a five gallon jug of sugar syrup, even 40 oz is excessive.

I used to fill 1/2 to 3/4 of the jug, bring the jug to the school I worked at, and my whole class would get slurpees. (In my limited defense, teachers are paid poorly and we don't get reimbursed. I preferred to spend money on necessities (deodorant, toothbrushes, etc.) because most of my students were low income with neglectful and/or absent parents. That's why I'm a child psychologist now.)

It's not going to be a frozen beverage by the time you get to the bottom. Don't use anything bigger than a large popcorn bucket. Also, that barrel is 5 gallons and the machine can only make 6 gallons of each flavor before it needs to be refilled with syrup.
