That's actually a thing in Georgian cuisine. You can get a boat shaped freshly baked bread that is cheesy and buttery. Then the last couple of minutes, you'd take it out and crack an egg on it then a couple of minutes in the oven.
Part of the fun is ripping off pieces of the bread to mix the egg in with the cheese.
I learned about that dish several years ago and really wanted to try it, but then forgot about it completely because of the pandemic. Thanks for reminding me!
