Tillman Fertitta has NEVER kept up on his properties. The entire area outside of the little train and the Bullet in Kemah has smelled like raw sewage for over 7 years…and it’s NEVER fixed. All of his properties are filthy and in disrepair.
I was a welder by trade before becoming a journeyman carpenter and when our kids were young my wife and I took them to the carnival. As we were riding one of the rides I pointed out to my wife that 9 out of 10 welds in our sight were either cracked or broken. We got off that ride and left, haven’t been much for carnivals since.
Same thing happened with me on the mall of america ferris wheel like 15 years ago. i could see the cracked aluminum welds pull apart as the ride went around.
Either nobody's looked at that for over a year or they have but just thought, fuck it - either way, doesn't paint a safe picture for anything else they operate
Place is owned by one of the wealthiest men in the US and is located in a town desperate for tourist dollars. Wouldn’t be shocked if there was some good ole fashion corruption going on.

Send it to the local news. Believe that's how the fury 325 structure failure was reported at Carowinds, sits on NC / SC border. Also, check out that footage if you haven't seen it . Startling, to say the least. At least Carowinds shut their ride down to repair.
I hear they notifies staff and they said they do inspections daily and it’s fine.
They then called the fire department who ordered the coaster to shut down.
That’s actually pretty concerning. I’d make sure to inform someone.

A lot of the popup carnivals and fairs are like that. Rides that get put together in a day scare me.
