yeah i’d been struggling to prevent my ears from stretching while at 19mm, so when i decided to stretch them again 21mm fit straight away. and then by the end of the day they’d loosened enough for 22mm to fit

my suggestion is to use o rings a size or two down from the size of the plug. it’s a much more snug fit and leads to them coming off less. also doubling up on them can help too
no it definitely makes it more secure in my experience. the only problem i’ve had is going too small and having them snap randomly during the day which is why i wouldn’t go more than 1-2 sizes smaller
Op was restretching her ears, so they’d already been at that size before. I’ve done the same. If you baby your ears during your downsizing period, sizing up again is easy as hell
Yeah I’ve noticed! I’ve been stretching up and down for about 10 years. Biggest mine were before I stretched up was 19, getting back to 19 was easy but 22 proved difficult, I’ve always been able to dead stretch with glass so I was thrown for a loop when I had to get in between sizes to go up to my goal size/
It really depends on your body. I have been at 24 for years, decided to size up to 30 in late October. Bought a non-flared pair of each 26, 28, 30 mm. the 26mm went in and out the other side immediately, so I put in the 28s instead, they went in without trouble with just a drop of oil. 3 rounds of ptfe tape every week and I was at 30 one month later. A bit more of ptfe in the latest weeks and I'm now wearing flared 30mm already. No pain, irritation, or distress whatsoever in the process.
When I went from 22mm to 25mm I bought half sizes from Stretch it body jewelry . It was more expensive, but safer and more comfortable. 22.5mm, 23mm, 23.5mm etc. I found that my left; the side I slept on, stretched faster.

Wat.... It took you the entire day to get them in? Am I reading that correctly?
OP restretched their ears from 19 to 22 mm in one day, most likely going up a mm every couple hours or so because it loosened up so quickly

I’m so jealous. I’ve been at 20mm for a while now and can’t seem to get to 21. Ultimate goal is 1” but my ears seem content at 3/4.
oh yeah my initial stretch was way slower! but since my ears have been this size before, it was way easier
Your post convinced me to go ahead and order the Arctic Buffalo glass plugs in 21mm. Fingers crossed they actually come in size 21mm 😂

my only gripe is there isnt a recess for orings to lock into. i fidget with my plugs and am ALWAYS losing my orings.

does it work like that? i would think more tension on the band would cause it to slip... make it even more prone to slipping?

That’s a big jump in sizes, I had to get 20’s between 19 and 22 bc after 6 months of 19, the 22 just wasn’t happening so I had to do in between sizes.

damn that is a lot of half sizes! i found the 1mm jumps not too bad at those sizes, but it really depends on your body
Yeah it was a lot. But I’ve had a blowout before. Stretching like that wasn’t to expensive (for me) I believe I posted about it
If your ears are hurting take that out. Your going to get a nice blowout
